    Hi to everyone ,

I have been following this thread for a few months now, it is time for my first post!

I just want to say that the support you have for each other is amazing, many of you have gone through so much and I really admire your determination in bringing a bub home. All the best of luck to each of you.

I am also seeing Lynn and today is day 4 of my first stim cycle. I had two m/c in the last 12 months. I was originally scheduled to start IVF in Jan but conceived naturally last Dec which was a blighted ovum, mc naturally in Feb. After a followup consultation with Lynn, we decided to undergo myomectomy to remove multiple fibroids, hysteroscopy (all nomal) and D&C. 3 months recovery time is required and due to repeating miscarriages, we are doing a PGD cycle this month. Plan is to do another stim cycle in June then transfer.

We have been TTC for 3 years. I am 38 with normal AMH, regular cycle, normal from genetic screening. DH is 47 with normal SA result, genetic testing result still pending. I feel very fortunate to have Lynn as my first FS (thanks to gy specialist who did the first referral), DH was initially suggesting Melbourne IVF from his web research.

I am a little unsure about doing PGD based on what I read in this thread and it is costly. I was caught by surprise when Lynn said that they no longer send the embryos to US for testing and now it is all done here. As this is my first cycle, I can only trust that Lynn knows what is best for us. I was put on quite high FSH dosage (nurse said it is the highest), I guess she is testing my body's responsiveness to treatment. My AF turned up last Monday after the appointment and I had to rush to get appointment with nurse to pick up the drugs in time so I don't miss the jabs, was a little annoyed that no one informed us to contact nurse (didn't know who I was assigned to) and they couldn't find anyone to see me earlier.

First ultrasound was done this morning, I have 5 in right and 6 in the left growing, is this a good sign? Not sure what to expect and was told it is early days. Hoping for the best.

Sorry for such a long post!

    Hi Ladies,

I have also been following this thread for quite awhile and have found it so helpful during this journey. You are all so supportive and strong and it's comforting to know there are others going through this! I am also an ex MIVF patient - after two unsuccessful stim cycles and 8 embryos I switched to Lynn. My MIVF specialist also told me he could get me pregnant in the first cycle based on zero diagnostic tests - it really built up my expectations. Lynn was fantastic and I am relieved to say she got us pregnant in the second stim cycle. It was my 13th embryo and it was the first that had been tested with PGD. @bbc22 my embyro was tested in Australia and given our good results I'm a big advocate for it. It actually saved us money by not transferring the genetically abnormal embryos (they discarded 2).
@Essence08 Lynn told me to come back when the baby is 6 months old to start again for a second baby (given it took me so long to get pregnant).

Good luck to everyone on this thread. I was starting to lose faith that this process was going to work, but it finally did and I feel that it was Lynn's diagnostics and extra support during the process that made the difference (I was on clexane, prednisolone, progesterone, thyroxine - none of which I got at MIVF).

I'm finally having my blood test tomorrow to confirm down reg. Then hopefully can start injections this week.
We are having PGD done this cycle.
I'm an ex MIVF patient also. 3 rounds and nil blastocysts. However 2 rounds with Lynn and we have had 4 make it to say 5. She has done wonders for our embryo quality.

Hey mate @Sue77 - injections are going well, so far. Am taking the Solone tablets for the first time during a cycle and have to admit they live a bit of a bitter taste in your mouth when you take them. I'm going in for my first scan on Wednesday morning and a blood test which is good. At MIVF we didn't do regular blood tests when I was so early in the piece (day 5). How are you going hun? you must be counting down the days till you get your period right?? not long now

hey there, welcome @bbc22, I'm a newbie here also but you've got a lot of good people like @lilypily that have a wealth of knowledge on this site. I think for your first scan you are definitely on the right track. Did they seem to be happy with the number growing so far?
