Hi to everyone ,
I have been following this thread for a few months now, it is time for my first post!
I just want to say that the support you have for each other is amazing, many of you have gone through so much and I really admire your determination in bringing a bub home. All the best of luck to each of you.
I am also seeing Lynn and today is day 4 of my first stim cycle. I had two m/c in the last 12 months. I was originally scheduled to start IVF in Jan but conceived naturally last Dec which was a blighted ovum, mc naturally in Feb. After a followup consultation with Lynn, we decided to undergo myomectomy to remove multiple fibroids, hysteroscopy (all nomal) and D&C. 3 months recovery time is required and due to repeating miscarriages, we are doing a PGD cycle this month. Plan is to do another stim cycle in June then transfer.
We have been TTC for 3 years. I am 38 with normal AMH, regular cycle, normal from genetic screening. DH is 47 with normal SA result, genetic testing result still pending. I feel very fortunate to have Lynn as my first FS (thanks to gy specialist who did the first referral), DH was initially suggesting Melbourne IVF from his web research.
I am a little unsure about doing PGD based on what I read in this thread and it is costly. I was caught by surprise when Lynn said that they no longer send the embryos to US for testing and now it is all done here. As this is my first cycle, I can only trust that Lynn knows what is best for us. I was put on quite high FSH dosage (nurse said it is the highest), I guess she is testing my body's responsiveness to treatment. My AF turned up last Monday after the appointment and I had to rush to get appointment with nurse to pick up the drugs in time so I don't miss the jabs, was a little annoyed that no one informed us to contact nurse (didn't know who I was assigned to) and they couldn't find anyone to see me earlier.
First ultrasound was done this morning, I have 5 in right and 6 in the left growing, is this a good sign? Not sure what to expect and was told it is early days. Hoping for the best.
Sorry for such a long post!
