Default Lynn Burmeister Monash IVF-feedback wanted please #5

@ faiths love; my 6th cycle turned out to be a BFP with lynn (4 failed cycles previously with city fertility)
@Sue77 doing well. Currently 9.5 weeks and still paranoid!

Good going Cevapa all the best..

Faithslove .. .. Even I am an UNSATISFIED mivf patient and transfered to lynn last year. She suggested PGD to us purely because of the reason that I had suffered 2 previous miscarriages at mivf by randomly transferring day 2 embryos with chromosomally abnormalities. Lynn did al tests and said that it was purely coincidental and that at monash they take the embryos to day 5 blastocyst stage ... Which she did . We did 2 cycles, collected 4 blasts and tested them by doing pgd . 2 out of 4 came out normal and 2 as inconclusive.. We and lynn were very hopeful that one of the 2 normals would stick as the abnormal ones had stuck earlier . But we were wrong.. I had 2 bfNs with normal tested blasts which doesn't happen very often as the success rate is very high. I guess just bad luck. So now we Did another fresh cycle in this Feb as I will be getting 38 in a few months and collected 2 blasts which we decided not to pgd . We have 4 untested blasts to try now. We are going to try them one by one without thinking much. Pgd didn't help us in getting pregnant but yes it has definately helped us in making our confidence in trying and putting in embies without testing unlike mivf who said for some reason u guyz don't make chromosomally normal ones. It's a been a long journey for us too , hopefully we manage to get our baby from these 4 frozen ones. .... I know 5 cycles are a lot .. But we need to stay positive through this journey to acheive results.. Were your experience with mivf also not that great ??

Yeah well when I first saw my specialist at MIVF he was very sure we'd get pregnant straight away (which he shouldn't have said a it got our hops up) He was really nice and to be honest I prefer the system at MIVF BUT he wasn't telling me anything, I didn't even know my AMH level was low until I got to Lynn. We are going to do PGD (hopefully we'll have heaps of embryo's to test) BUT again he never even brought up PGD - he made my DH do further tests and when he went to do the tests, the pathology lab said he has already done these tests and the results don't change...so he forgot we had already done them therefore, didn't refer to them. They don't do a guided transfer either plus I I just found that we kept on doing new tests in every cycle, where as I would have hoped all tests could have been done before all the heartache. I'm just hoping Lynn is the way to go. I'm spewing I didn't know about Human Growth Hormones till recently. she hasn't put it on my medication so I'm hoping i'll still get some good eggs. my period has come today so my first day of meds starts, fingers crossed. I'll say a prayer fro you to @Sue77 - no good comes out of giving up when you're not ready to give up x

Faiths love I'm an ex MIVF patient who got the run around for two years 6 cycles with no results and no further testing done. Met lynn and had many tests done bfp on first cycle with her but unfortunately lost my baby boy at 17 weeks through an incompetent cervix. We went back three months later and fell pregnant with my now almost 10 month old little boy. If I was at MIVF their next step was pgd and obviously it was not needed. Best of luck with your next cycle. When are you cycling next?

I've had a scratch and it's not too bad. Just like dull period cramps.
