To be fair there was a label saying that it was for use under DH's guidance. But seriously, WTF are either of them going to do with a FREAKING RUSTY SAW?
    Oh my gawd!!! That's insane!!!

Freakin ridiculous. Seems like certain hubbers think the world of BH revolves around them. Oh how I wish I was as perfect as some.

We only buy for children under 18 in our extended family, and generally around $20 each. Every year I'm aaked to get the kids iTunes cards for their devices. Done. Easy.
This year 2 of the cousins combined their gift to our kids. They then combined the gift for all 4 children. And gave 2 fun size bags of chocolate in a box. So 36 pieces of fun size chocolate.
DD1 is diabetic, DD3 is 3 months old. And it came to $7 on the woolworths 2 for 1 special that was included in the box.

My dd was 20 months old this Xmas but you'd think some people have no idea. She got plenty of presents which aren't age appropriate or down right bizarre. (Although not as weird as the saw!!!)
That said I will be donating a large portion of her gifts to charity. My MIL has a serious shopping problem and bought soooo much stuff it was ridiculous, but not one thing was actually we'll thought out. She buys heaps of craps that is on sale to make herself feel better. Some things I will donate:
    - socks for 6-12 mth old...she said "oh are they going to be too small"...ah yes dd is nearly 2.
    - 2 beach towels , not one but 2! Why?
    - single bed quilt (just what kids always want) but she is getting a king single bed which we've told her over and over. She didn't keep the receipt so just told us to 're gift it.
    - size 4 swimmers...Yep maybe in a few years time!

That's not even mentioning what dh and I got!

I would honestly prefer not to get anything from her. I am grsteful for what I have but I don't need this stuff that she hasn't even thought through. It's not bought from the heart so I'll be quite happy to donate it to people who maybe need a new quilt or some towels etc.

Interesting how you somehow know this is directed at you.
Sure.. join back in if you want to be lighthearted and vent about a silly present. Don't join in if you're going to judge others from your high horse.
