    I put presents out as I wrap them and I wrap everything as I buy it. I love looking at the tree with all the gifts under it :-)

    I do that too I don't have kids I have to watch incase they unwrap them, although, after wrapping a very difficult, giant soft bed for one of the dogs (I had to wrap it, it looks so big and pretty under the tree! ) he found his present and put his foot through the wrapping paper already. :/

    What is this "presents out on Christmas Eve" thing you all speak of? Surely not? I think you all mean early hours of Christmas day? Yes?
    Cos there is no hope in heck that dd1 won't hear the crackle of wrapping paper through a closed bedroom door and a closed lounge room door anywhere before midnight regardless of what time she goes to bed!

    They all go out Christmas Eve once the kids are asleep.
    If they go out sooner ds1 doesn't understand that they're not for opening yet.

    Default When do you put out the presents?

    The presents that are bought from us ( DH and I and DS) are put under the tree as soon as they are wrapped ( including DS presents from us) as the tree just looks so much better with presents under it , santa obviously leaves his in his own presents wrapped in special santa paper about the time I go to bed early xmas morning! ( santa leaves about the same amount of presents that are already under the tree so xmas morning it looks like a present explosion under the tree! )

    Christmas eve. I love the surprise they get when they see all the presents and come in to wake me up.
