Default Feeling pregnant but negative HCG test

Hi Ladies, any advice would be much appreciated.

My husband and I are TTC.
I have had a hostory of PCO however it has been managed and my period has been regular for several years now. I do have a longer cycle (30-35days) and have been using the ovulation kit to determine ovulation.
My last period was very light and short (only 3 days long) which is unusual since my period lasts 5-6 days with a medium to heavy flow.
I know ovulated for this cycle since im using the kit and my period is now 18 days late. I have had several urine plus kne blood test which all came back negative (HCG <2)
I also checked for hormonal imbalances and thyroid issues to rule out any other issue, all came back normal.

Around the time my period was due I experienced bloating extreme fatigue, increased discharge, weird feeling in the stomach and back ache.
14 days late I syarted to experience cramping and sore sensitive breasts ans feel my period coming on.
Now 18 days late still negative results but feeling pregnant.
    Could it still be?

When did you have the blood test?
To be honest lovely I do doubt it. Sometimes when you really want it your body plays tricks on you.

I do think it's probably very unlikely then . You could have ovulated late (very late maybe? Perhaps maybe when you were already 2 weeks late) but surely you wouldn't really have symptoms then? Unless they're O symptoms?
If it still doesn't come I suppose just keep testing.
It sounds crazy, but there have been at least 3 times when I was convinced I was pregnant and I wasn't. However, when I was - I had NO idea. Didn't feel it at all.

When you say your PCOS is being managed, what are you taking? certain drugs like clomid can create a lot of progesterone in the second half of the cycle making you feel very pg. Been there, it's sucks.

Where you temping as well as using the OPK's?

It's just that for me, the last 2 cycles my body has 'geared up to O" - all the signs and symptoms, positive OPK and everything, but then I didn't O. I then eventually O'd 7-10 days later (I knew because I was temping as well). Could something like this have happened and you didn't really O when you thought you did?

    Thanks for your reply.
I am starting think that I ovulated a bit later than usual.
I've just heard stories of women not recieving a positive result untill 8-10 weeks..
Gives me a little hope but its so dangerous, I must remain realistic Aswell

    Thanks for sharing your experience

    @ delirium

    thanks for your reply.

I had to take metformin 5 years ago to help regulate my period.
    Haven't been on meds since.

I should clarify that I had PCO not the actual syndrome.
    thanks for the info though!

What you'll be looking for is not a particular temperature, but a "biphasic pattern" over the whole month (lower temps for the first half of the month, then, the day after you ovulate, the temps will rise quite a bit higher than the first lot of temps and stay higher than them)

There's a great App called Fertility Friend that you can download for recording your temps, it also gives you lots if information on how to do it.

Below is an example of one of my charts. You'll see it starts off with low temps, then rises on day 22 and stays up. That means I O'd on day 21 that cycle. I had a positive OPK on day 19.
