    Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I actually got up and went for a walk this morning so I'm very proud of myself! I have set my daily goal for 5000 at this stage.

    Not sure if this thread is still active, but I got a fitbit for Christmas and I am loving it so far!!

    I need to increase my incidental exercise as I can't do intense exercising at the moment due to injury. Counting my steps is reminding me to make sure I keep moving.... I also plan to input my food after we get rid of our Christmas chocolate stash!

    Yay how exciting! It's been a year since I got mine and I'm down 15kg (haven't weighed myself since Christmas!!) what kind of steps are you averaging each day? It's quite difficult to get to 10,000 incidentally!

    Wow, 15kg is amazing!! Have you been tracking food as well as exercise?

    I have averaged over 10,000 the three days I have been wearing it, but that's because I have been working (retail) or shopping. Today I have been studying and I am only at 4,200. I am not supposed to be doing much extra walking (can only do 10min at a time) because of a sore hip. Might volunteer to relieve DH from grocery shopping duty tonight to get in some extra steps.

    Yeah I track everything I eat through myfitnesspal. I've only started getting my 10,000 (almost) consistently since joining the gym a couple weeks ago. I'm usually around the 5-6000 mark if I don't go.
