I am ok, thanks Sally. I think I did my grieving already, it's been a highly emotional few weeks, I didn't really get attached to this pregnancy, with each bad result I had a cry and let go a little. By the time I started bleeding I was releived, it was no shock, more like confirmation. I think it was definitely easier as I never saw an embryo, just an oddly shaped dodgy sac. I am certain I lost this pregnancy weeks ago and it just took a while for my body to realise and the docs to confirm.

I am going in for D & C tomorrow, so glad they can get me in so soon, and I can get some closure. My doc and the OB have been great today. I bought a little angel xmas decoration today I can bring out each xmas in memory.
Now trying to focus on the positives, going to get me a big *** bottle of champagne this xmas and enjoy it. Figure I deserve it after this month! X

Good luck for tomorrow. I hope it all goes smoothly. I love the angel Christmas decoration. I think that's lovely.

Good luck for tomorrow. After my d&c I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

And go for the champers! When I found out I lost my little one at 8 weeks, I literally went from the ob's office to the fish markets with my mum where we shared a bottle of champagne and a dozen oysters.

I'm glad to hear they're getting you in so soon.

I also felt a sense of relief after my D&C, to finally have some closure. And I also went out and had a glass of wine and some dodgy Mexican, to show life that I was going to make the most of the hand I'd been dealt.

That being said, the emotional journey didn't end there. There was a temporary sense of relief, but longer term it took quite some months to truly start to feel normal again. So be gentle on yourself, and don't feel like you've failed or are weak when you have moments of sadness or anger or despair.

Wishing you all the best (as much as that is possible for this situation) tomorrow.

Great thanks sally, all went well. Was all over so fast and I felt fine afterward, minimal bleeding/spotting for about 24 hrs and that's about it really. No pain at all. I am so so grateful they were able to get me in so quick.
It would be nice to get some more sympathy at home though, DH has been less than sensitive about the whole thing. it may have been a relatively simple procedure but he's been acting like I went to get my teeth cleaned or something. Men!!
Oh well enough negativity from me, like I said just so very grateful this is over now and I can move on (although giving myself time also, I think the emotional stuff will come up from time to time especially when we start trying again etc.)

It would be his way of coping sally....as hard as it sounds.

Just big big hugs to you. I'm glad it was pain free and you are well
