Im at home, the appointment is not till this arvo, he still wont sleep. Ive given up & just accepted that this will be yet another appointment where we end up yelling at each other over his screaming

Its so hard I totally understand that, you seem to have more than your fair share of struggles with an unsettled baby.. My DD has always been quite high maintenance but fairly easy except the last 2 weeks she has turned into a screaming monster.. I don't know if you movies or anything on for him however sometimes when it gets too much I pull out frozen or something else with lots of singing and colour plonk her in her bean bag and she will settle.. everyones different that works for me sometimes..

Can you sit outside in the fresh air with him? Let him lay on a blanket in the shade, maybe a change of scenery might help him and you to clear your head.

Sorry if this sounds silly but cant you breastfeed him during the talking part of the appointment, so then you can at least talk first and then he'll be settled?

Ill try but not sure, its meant to be helping with introducing solids as he is almost 8 months & will not eat, so i dont know if i can breastfeed him then offer solids immediately after (the appointment only goes for half an hour)

Maybe just a quick feed while you talk, then offer the solids so he's not screaming. It's worth a try so you don't have to miss the appointment. Who is the appointment with?

Wowsers that sun has got some bite this afternoon. After such a overcast and icky morning, I just got sunburned hanging out DS's washing. I was only out there for 10-15 minutes!!
