I know it's hard when you're disappointed and frazzled and tired but I think sometimes 'fake it til you make it' really does help mentally.
Its just frustrating cause ds has been doing so well. Barely any crying these days, settling himself for most sleeps without even needing my help. No rocking needed anymore, only patting needed occasionally. And now we've had hysterical screaming tonight cause someone cant take responsibility for their animal. The same dog woke ds up on the weekend as well but at least dh was here to help then.

It doesn't bark often enough to meet the Council requirements to do something but it barks enough to wake ds up. And i know the owners are home, they just dont care. Its just really frustrating.

Every baby has days where sleep turns to crap, that's just life.
You are doing so well with him, he is just having a bad night.
Don't worry about the dog, there is always going to be something to wake him.
Get him to sleep any way you can and start fresh tomorrow

I have been craving Maccas for a week. My catch up there today got canceled because I was waiting for a plumber... who had a Maccas frappe with him... Now my housemate has come home with a Maccas bag. I have steak for dinner :-( I hate steak.

Tonight DF offers me some 'Snack' chocolate. I say "no thanks". He asks why (because let's face it I never refuse chocolate) and I finally come clean. After nearly 3 years of him buying Snack chocolate and me buying it for him, I come clean.
    "I really don't like it" I say.
    He bursts out laughing.
"Then why do we keep buying it?" He says.

I tell him it was for him. He tells me he buys it because he thinks I love it.

Neither of us actually like it!

    Yup

Um...access to education is a right for all children in Australia. It is the teachers that are expected to provide the education. I feel like drafting an indignant letter!
It's a public primary. I'm all for asking (and holding them to it) parents to help out. But how do you 'unteach' a child at home when they are taught that way daily? They use books for spelling homework! (Other stuff too, but as reading is so central...)..

Love it @GucciDahling! Did something similar a few months ago with ice-cream. DH has been buying the same brand and flavour of ice-cream every week since we met, because that's what we had on our first date. Had to tell him I hate ice-cream... got so sick of it.

Laying in bed enjoying the cool breeze... When all of a sudden the smell of cigarette smoke fills the room. Bloody neighbour smokes outside (which is better than in the house because he has 2 small children), but everytime he does it it blows into our place. I hope he was standing underneath our window when I slammed it shut and turned on the air con. That's about the right level of passive aggression for me haha.

No DH I really don't want to listen to you talk waffle on the phone tonight about a towtruck hence the phone keeps 'dropping out'. Bad reception here, must be the weather?

DP forgot to take the wheelie bin out last night. That's an extra week of rubbish and pooey nappies sitting and baking before they will get collected.

I know who will be responsible for putting the rubbish out for the next week and it's not me.
