Default The Not So Serious Vent Thread #4

It's a beautiful day so I've hung the washing out on the line. But I get so hot out there, that after 2 mins I'm already sweating. Ugh

Trying to wrap the last of my Christmas presents, and some of them have the most stubborn price tags. All I can smell now is eucalyptus oil and my nails feel gross from trying to pick off the price tags. Why do places use hardcore price stickers? They're just a pain in the bum!

Person asks for advice. Gets defensive at advice given - dont frigging ask if you just want people to tell you what you want to hear!

An hour and a half at centrelink to still not get an outcome. I just want effing child care rebate. Why do i have to apply for family tax / child care benefit (which I'm not eligible for) to get something I am eligible for? This makes no logical sense.
And if you want me to use the online services, then at least try to have people who know what the eff they're talking about assisting people. Not someone who keeps rabbiting on about "you'll get the lesser amount at child care" lesser amount of what? From what to what? Or telling me to come back on monday morning when i've already been there for an hour and a half or tell me to call after 6pm "because you might get someone from perth" why do I need to speak to someone from Perth. What are you on about you complete effing moron?

And thank you DF for leaving just one more thing for me to organise completely on my own while you send condescending texts from wherever you're having beers with a mate because you've just worked so hard. Unlike me of course. I'm just on holidays...with a newborn.

Ooh that was slightly longer and scarier than I intended! But I do feel better already!

hugs firsttimemum34, i have not had to deal with any gov dept for such a long time, but i know how frustrated my sons would get with them while trying to sort out study allowance and whatnot. it always seems that no one really knows what they are doing. marie.

Centrelink are rubbish. Book an appt next time you need to go in.

And tell your DF to go shove his beers up his bum! Nothing makes me angrier when my DF does that to me. (the beers, not the verbal tirade lol!)

My three year old just had a screaming tantrum and said that I don't love him any more. Why? Because I told him it was afternoon, not morning (at 4:50pm)
