    @heartstringz,
    Yep, I agree with A-squared, the most important consideration in making these referrals is often about a) the impact on Mum's mental health and b) the impact on the parent's relationship...so if you can be really honest about how the sleep issues are affecting these aspects of your life. These things obviously affect your relationship with bub directly.

    If I were you I'd be asking your psych to call that child health nurse asap...don't be shy and don't forget that it's okay to be assertive Heartstringz. This is your life...you deserve this

    I am baking potatoes for lunch. I have no alfoil so am experimenting with foil patty pans. That's got to work, right?

    Very annoyed with this GP I saw today. I went to see the doctor for something and while we were there dd was getting cranky, restless and wanted a feed. So I started breastfeeding my little one when the doctor turns to my Dh and asks how old is she? Dh replied that she's 20 months and the stupid doctor proceeded to say that I should consider stopping breastfeeding as she's too old for it. It's a behavioural thing and that she is only using it for comfort and I'll be in lots of trouble later on. Needless to say I will never see that GP again!!

    DS2 has to change sides/positions at least 6 times during a feed. He only feeds for 5-10 mins! We can never just sit and relax.

    My gp said this when ds was 8 months. I told her to check out the WHO guidelines about bf to 2 years. Needless to say she shut up and didn't pester me again
