I have since found a new fertility specialist who has me on prednisolone 10mg BD and clexane 40mg daily from ovulation til negative pregnancy test or 10 weeks. I've had a funny week with a borderline OPK , massive mid cycle bleed (never happened before), Ultrasound couldn't even find a corpus luteum and bloods are borderline, so likely ruptured ovarian cyst. I am finding that the steroids are playing havoc with me. I can't quench my thirst, I'm bloated and constipated (I usually go 3 times a day) as far my head is always aching like a hangover without the fun night before! Do others have any similar symptoms?
Since April, we have seen multiple fertility specialists and settled with albury reproductive (through Monash IVF). The plan was to try three cycles naturally commencing on 40mg clexane, 20mg prednisone and 200mg progesterone after ovulation which I did with no luck. Last month was a "month off" and not drugs or actively "trying". I can't remember the day but I think I ovulated the first week of November. On the 11th (last Wednesday) I had endometrial scratching in preparation to IVF next month and picked up my drugs. On Sunday I had dark spotting on and off and period pain but nothing convincing. On Monday for some reason I did a pregnancy test and it was faintly positive. Somehow I've managed to get pregnant around endometrial scratching. My Bhcg was only 13, progesterone 23 and oestrodial 384 so I was only JUST pregnant. I immediately started progesterone, clexane and prednisolone. I repeated my bloods this morning (almost 43 hours later) and Bhcg 38, progesterone 35 and oestrodial 316. The clinic don't test oestrodial or progesterone (I added them on the path form) so the nurse had no idea when I questioned her about the drop in oestrodial. She said the numbers are all really low and it's not looking good :-/ I've stopped spotting and feel pretty good AND the Bhcg had doubled in about 30 hours, so I was shocked. She said if I'm still pregnant in a week to do bloods again and an ultrasound if levels are low still. Does a drop like this in oestrodial reflect a poor outcome? Is there anything I can do? Help I'm going mad!
