    Hi Bindy,

It took us about 2 weeks to get our complete results of autopsy back. They did not really shed any light on reasons for Lewis to just have his heart stop beating. He was well grown, my placenta was normal size and he was normally developed. My FS said unfortunately it just happened. He also stated that not enough is known still regarding miscarriages and loss of babies in utero. He said it is well known that babies can have irregular heartbeats that eventually settle down but just as can happen once you are born, why can't they also have an irregular heartbeat that causes a loss of rhythm? He said so much more needs to be learnt because despite advances in fertility medicine there is not much difference between now and 20 years ago when it comes to pregnancy loss.

Just like us you may never have your answer. Sometimes it is clear but other times no one has any idea. As our FS said to us this might (and highly likely won't) affect future pregnancies. But it doesn't stop you from feeling frightened all the same!

I have been going so well but today I learned that our baby was perfect and that no abnormality was detected. Also with the high antibody count that I apparently should have been on clexane.

I'm just so upset and angry at the stupid endocrinologist for not telling me about my antibody level or actually telling me that I have hashimotos. If the results were borderline I understand that it may have slipped his mind but such a significant level of antibodies is not something you forget to tell someone. An abnormal reading is over 116 and they stopped counting mine at 4000.
I feel like my baby died because he neglected to pass this information on which would have changed the treatment plan for my obstetrician. I would love to give him a serve but what's the point. 😪😪

I am so anxious, I've had two positive HPT... Will do bloods tomorrow. I will be a nervous wreck this time. I pray to god I get a healthy baby. Thankyou all for your kind words of support. I was told by endocrinologist and obstetrician that each pregnancy of mine will only have a 40% success rate, let's hope we are lucky xx

    First of all - congratulations!!!

Have you started the clexane yet?

We had three babies with fertility assistance, then we lost 4 babies due to being ANA+ all at differing stages, with the longest pregnancy being 19 weeks. I wanted to start clexane when pregnant with the last loss but was told no (later found out they hadn't done full testing), I lost it, did more tests, found the ANA+, started on the clomid again, started clexane just after ovulation, now have a very loud 8mth old!!! I still had bleeds up until 16 weeks that were a little worrisome but lots of rest, fluids, clexane and scans. I highly recommend the scans as with one of the bleeds I had to switch to aspirin for a while as the bleed was threatening the pregnancy and it was all internal so I had no idea it was going on. Your ob can then tailor your meds to best keep the pregnancy.

    All the best xx

Thankyou girls. , at my last appointment in jan she put me on aspirin and told me I don't need clexane as I didn't have anti phospholipid syndrome and my Ana was high from the anti thyroid antibodies with the hashimotos. Does that sound right to you?

Pop over to the nk cells thread to double check with the immune girls there, but I would be starting clexane now, some ladies have steroids too. I wonder if I could have avoided some of the bleeds if I'd been on that too. I put myself onto aspirin when they wouldn't give me the clexane the pregnancy before our successful one and it just wasn't enough. When I then went to my fs for our last treatment he was only going to give me aspirin until I told him I'd already tried that. Wish I could give you mine - I have about 8 doses left!

What are your levels for your different conditions? That could help the girls recommend what to talk to your specialist/ob about.

So I spoke with my endocrinologist and obstetrician today and they agreed that i need to be on prendisalone. The OB said clexane isn't necessary. So I'm truly a big pill bottle! Metformin, aspirin, thyroxine 200mcg, prendisalone 15mg for two weeks, 10mg another two weeks then 5mg until 10 weeks.
My Ana was high when tested a few years ago but it was because of the hashimotos showing anti thyroid antibodies out. These are my bloods and levels today: thyroglobulin antibody 980; thyroid peroxidase 534
