Thanks ladies! I've decided to go ahead and get the scan on Xmas Eve - even if it's too early to see the heartbeat, fingers crossed they can tell is that everything is progressing well.

I'll update once I've been - bit if anyone else has their thoughts/experiences to share, I'm still all ears

There are some very high heartbeats listed here in the 6-7 week period. Kudos to those ladies but don't get worried if you don't match it. My ob said at 6 weeks anything over 110 is normal and they get a little concerned if it's under 100. Good luck xx

Had a scan at around 5.5 weeks and saw no hb, only a foetal pole (I think). A follow up around 6.5 we saw a hb, I think it was around 120 but I can't be sure now. Both were trans as a normal abdominal u/s showed nothing.

Amazing seeing that little hb! Enjoy

Yep furthermore don't stress if you don't see one. Mine at 5+0 is very rare. Lots of women don't see one until up to 2 weeks after I did and deliver healthy babies. Just remember OP everyone is different.

Mine was a standard u/s and I didn't see a hb at 7 weeks (although the technician said they could) but could see it at 9 weeks.

With dd I had a scan at 6+2 and we saw a hb (trans vaginal). I had no idea of dates though so it could have been earlier or later. My Dr usually suggests to wait until 7 weeks to guarantee seeing a hb.

Hi all, just a quick update... Still in a bit of shock!

Went for scan this morning and according to the doctor I'm measuring just over 5 weeks, rather than 6 weeks, so no heartbeat.

However... there were two sacs!!! Twins!

There is no way of knowing if they're okay as yet, I just have to go back in two weeks and keep my fingers crossed. It is possible that I ovulated later so I will be cautiously optimistic while totally freaking about the fact that it's twins!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your support ladies x
