Giving my old copy of Hating Alison Ashley to my DD to read was a profound moment for me! And when she absolutely loved it, I was so happy haha!

yep my DD loves Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl

she also likes the fairy books (Rainbow Magic) and the Famous Five books.

I did try her on Trixie Beldon last year but she was a little bit little ... should try again I think.

Some great ideas though, I think I need to go back to the book depository

I so loved that book - absolutely changed my world when I read it as a ten year old. I still have my copy and will pass it on to DD soon.

"Clementine Rose" and/or "Alice-Miranda" books by Jacqueline Harvey. My 7 & 8 year olds love them, although I've been the one reading them to them. My 8 year old (who is 9 in March) is starting to read Clementine Rose by herself.
