Best of the year- a toss up between Burial Rites, Only the Animals and The KLF.

Biggest let downs- Ghost Child (I usually love Sonya Hartnett) and My Brilliant Friend. I wished I could have loved it, all my friends did but I just couldn't get into it.

Biggest surprises- The Tournament (not usually a genre I'd read but so much fun) and the First Bad Man- I thought it might be too quirky and twee but it was surprisingly touching and real.

How was everyone else's year of reading??

I actually read this year! Though not as much as I'd have liked and each book took longer than they used to.

All the books that I have read are Stephen King novels- I caught on late!

    Doctor Sleep
    Carrie
    Joyland
    Different seasons
    Finders keepers
    Mr Mercedes

Fearless leader, I enjoyed 'Burial Rites' too. I loved all the name stuff.

I wish I could read as much as you. I think I'll have to get a kindle.

I've been writing far more than I've been reading lately but just started Insurgent this morning. Have read the first book and seen the first movie but that's it. Time to get obsessed with this series again!
