We're doing it and it's going really well. We just used books that we already had but our DD (3) is loving unwrapping them and having a surprise every night.

We've used a mixture of books. We've got Peppa, Wiggles, Ben & Holly, Little Golden Books and some other books she loves.

I'm so glad we heard about this in time & it's helping DD to understand that when she unwraps the last book then the next day is Christmas

We are doing it and my son loves it. He is 6, every night after dinner, he goes and gets the next book to unwrap and we share as a family. I have wrapped only Christmas books. Some he is able to read and others are a bit more difficult. It is really making us all look forward to Christmas.

Our kids are loving it too.
    Mine are 2 to 15.
We have books going from wombat stew to the hunger games.
I brought all mine second hand so it only cost me a few dollars.
Each kid take a turn in picking a book. We had a few times where a older kid has pick a young ones book and the other way round.

You could promote it as the 12 days of Christmas. Doing the last 12 days in the lead up.

No unfortunately it's far too late any marketing requests have to be in 3 months prior to when you want them! Im already planning next April school holidays! But this is definitely happening next year

Yes we are. My boy is 3.5. We make a hot chocolate and sit under the tree and read together. I got a few kids Christmas books and the rest just general books... Thomas, pepa, little golden books etc. he loves it. Some are his fav books also like little red caboose

Ohhh I love this idea!! I might try and get organised for the 12 days of Christmas countdown.
My kids LOVE books. Most of their presents are going to be books, by their request! Which I cop flack for off others. Even when I moved house I had comments from my helpers sighing and saying, 'you should have a clean out, you have so many BOOKS'. Sorry, a bit of a mini vent there!

Kind of. My boy is still so young - 3.5 months - but he loves when we read to him though so we've just picked a couple and will start it about 4/5 days before Christmas and won't wrap them this year.
Next Christmas when he's a bit older we'll do the whole 25 books and wrap them properly all the books we have are Christmas themed.
I love the beginnings of a really good Christmas tradition!
