Default Do these names sound too similar?

Just wanting wider opinion on this one. Dh's brother and wife have last week just given birth to an Isabella.

A name that DH and I have always considered is Eliza. We are now thinking that the z sound makes them too similar. The meanings of the name are also identical.

For cousins, do you think Isabella and Eliza at too similar? I would definitely not do it of siblings but I'm curious about whether the fact they are cousins makes it different in your opinion.

    Many thanks in advance!

Nope I think it's fine! Saying them together they go really nicely together, rather than sounding too close :-)

I love your name choice! I'd stick with it. Maybe not if their daughter was Elise but Isabella is different enough for me.

Go for it. I don't think they are similar at all.

I know 2 sisters named Isabel and Eliza. I've never thought they were similar sounding (unlike 2 other sister I know named Ella and Emma, they are two gorgeous names, but too similar IMO).

I don't think so. You'll probably get some kind of cute Izzy and Lizzy comments now and then, but that's ok I think! Eliza is a beautiful name and was in my top 3 if I had a girl :-)
