Hi tegs. Fingers crossed for you that everything is fine with your lap.
To answer your questions, I put as requirements proven donor and age. I wasn't particularly interested for the donor to look exactly like me, but I felt better to know that she had donated successfully before and the dr knew how she will react to the treatment.
In regards to immune issues, I don't have any problems in the family, but before going to the egg donation path I just wanted to make sure I've done / checked everything. And I'm glad I did. After consulting with dr M I've discovered I have high nk cells and high ANA. I don't know what the result would have been without the immune treatment. It is a pain and additional stress and a lot of money, but at least I knew I did everything I could.
If you want you can have some blood tests done just in case and for your peace of mind.
Let me know if you need more details.

Thanks HFAM! I wonder whether it would be worth just getting the blood tests done as well. I am not looking at going until March so have a little time. The only issue will be I live a long way away from any capital city so getting any treatment costs a fortune as such.

What blood tests would you suggest?

@tegs26 I went with young and proven as my first priority as well.....
regarding blood tests it depends on how much you want to do, if you have a helpful gp/OB or fertility specialist you could do level one tests, mthfr, factor v Leiden and nk cells or you could go straight to dr m who is an immunes doctor and get him to do the tests, you can ph consult with him and he sends forms for bloods etc via email etc, if you have been trying to get pregnant with no luck for years with a couple of miscarriages etc I would probably go with getting tested for immunes to rule that out, that way as hfam you have covered all your bases before you go and have ruled out everything

    Hi
thanks Stacey and Hfam. Think we might not go half board, I can't eat 3 course anyway. My meal size is a bread and butter plate size.
Tegs we out proven donor as our first requirement. We didn't worry about age as they have an age range anyway.

i consulted with immune dr this time after miscarriage last year. I would not be seen as having a huge history with 2 known pregnancies and 2 miscarriages but given 1 was my own eggs and the other was donor eggs I decided to consult Dr M in Sydney.

Hopefully, I can get this all done prior to going with the lap I am giving myself the clexane injections for 28 days hmmmmm so far some nice bruises on my tummy was wondering if you could do it in the top of your legs where there is so excellent fat lol

Thanks again Ladies really appreciate your help

    Hi everyone
hope you are all doing well.
I am on the countdown. 2 weeks and we will be on a plane.
hfam I have a question. How long does intralipids take? I have a job interview now on the same day as intralipids which is the same day we fly out. Going to be a big day. But hopefully come home to a new job.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I didn't write too much lately. I've been really tired, just went straight to bed soon after I come home from work.

Deb, I didn't have intralipids with dr M, only IVIG. But from what I know the procedure it's pretty much the same: arrival at 2PM, saline until dr M arrives (usually 4.30 - 5), then intralipids for about 5 hours (IVIG takes a little bit more) and then more saline at the end (about half an hour). Hope that helps and you'll be able to fit your interview in the schedule.

    How is everyone else doing?

Exciting news from me: we're having a little boy . I told you before, I had a feeling it's a girl, but I was over the moon yesterday when we found out. I think it was mostly because he was looking like a real baby and not an alien anymore and for the first time I let all the worries aside and I realised that we are actually having a baby. Deb, I wish with all my heart that you'll be next one telling us beautiful pregnancy stories.

    Have a great evening ladies!

Yah hfam. A baby boy. Very exciting.

thanks for the info. I think I should be OK to fit it all in. I am doing intralipids in the morning 6 or 8 am. Interview 4:10pm and fly out 9:50pm. I do hope I get the job, I am temp at the moment and this job is permanent. Been temp 2.5 yrs. the job I do now is also a bit stressful. The job I have applied for is a grade lower so if things work out that will be better to have less stress.

    Hi Deb,

How exciting for you!!!! Can't wait to hear how things go!!!

Sorry I have been away was really struggling after the op and due to work had to go back so has taken me longer I should have just taken more time off!!!!!!

Anyway, lap was successful and confirmed what I knew Stage IV endo. There are few things in the report I don't understand but Dr google has given me some ideas lol

So now I have all that back I can send it to Anna and see what Zlin have to say.

I think I will contact Dr M for the immune stuff. The GP here is pretty good and the Gynie that travels here is apparently new one and good.

@ stacey10 when are you heading out?
