AMFM so excited for you!! What a journey to get to January.

So we final selected Prague Fertility Centre and set everything for March. I was supposed to start birth control last week when my period was due...it never came...turns out I'm PREGNANT! I have no idea how. My husband and I were given a less than 1% chance naturally. I am scared of another miscarriage because of my egg quality but for now I'm just trying to stay calm and healthy and positive. So egg donation is on hold for me. I will keep checking to see how all of you do. Whatever the outcome of this is, I will be going to Prague some day for future children.

Wow! Congrats! Do you think it is because you came to terms with it not being possible and were set on Prague that is happened?

I have heard stories of people who are told they will never have kids and adopt and then get pregnant.

    I love stories like these

Please keep us updated on your pregnancy.

klh wow that's great news. congratulations.

Unfortunately I have bad news. Had the scan today and our babies heartbeat has stopped. Devastated is probably the best word to describe how we feel. Waiting to hear from my obn as he was in theatre but I am hoping he will just put me in for a d&c. The baby is still there, just no heartbeat and measuring 8 weeks, so has not grown since our last scan. I have emailed ZLin and let them know. I assume I just stop the medications, does anyone know? Sorry to put a dampener on all the good news here.

Wish you all the best for your trip next week AMFM.

I may be a bit quiet on here for a bit, sorry.

Oh deb I'm so so sorry to read this This is just gut wrenching for you and your d/h. Yes you just stop your meds once everything has been confirmed, and you will find that you will probably miscarry quite quickly after stopping everything, not sure if that's what you want Please don't stop posting if you want some support, but we all understand if you don't, be kind to yourself and take your time to heal, but know what ever you decide to do it will be the right thing for you

@Debant I am soooo sorry. Life just isn't fair sometimes!

Take care of you and DH and allow time to grieve and then you can assess where to next.

Well the Dr just called with my second HCG and it went from 80 to 20 and she said to expect to miscarry in the next few days. So bummed. I thought maybe this was my little miracle. I knew my egg quality was crappy, but I also knew we had such a tiny % chance of getting pregnant so I figured maybe miracles do happen.

I am waiting to hear back from PFC to hear if I can just start the birth control for the donor cycle or if I have to wait a cycle. So frustrating if it is postponed.

Deb, I am so so sorry to hear about your new. I've been there and it is so heartbreaking. My first pregnancy ended at 8 weeks with no heartbeat and a D&C. Sending you prayers for a quick recovery. My thoughts are with you.

Ahh klh that's such a pain One positive is that it should be over quickly, I would think that you could move straight on with your cycle, let's hope so anyway
