It's a good start!
It's a good start!
A little up date. We have one arm out now. First night he woke up a few times and had to put the dummy in but since has been back to sleeping through. During the day his naps have gone to 40 mins and won't resettle unless catch him before he wakes to much and put the dummy in and give him a pat. Anyone else have these problems with day sleeps?
It will settle after a few days. I think after 3 days we were back in our groove.
This has been for nearly a week. A few times I have put his arm back in and he will sleep for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours but only 40 with it out. He doesn't wake during the night so I think he can resettle himself but just can't seem to do it in the day.
Do you think a love to dream 50/50 swaddle would make a difference?
I use the 50/50. Really it's just a fancy way of doing one out. Maybe he's just not ready? Maybe full swaddle for days and try again in a few weeks?
That won't confuse him? I have thought about doing it that way. His 4.5 months and not rolling over yet so I suppose I do have some time to get him used to it. Can they roll and push up easily in the love to dream? He is in a woombie now so can't move much at all
The normal love to dreams are quite stretchy, the lite ones even stretchier but the 50/50's don't have a lot of give in them because of the zips. So for the first two yes, they can push up ( see my picture earlier in this thread; DS is wearing a LTD lite in the pic)
I don't think it's confusing. I did day sleeps one arm out but full swaddle at night for a few days until I noticed he seemed to be bothered by full swaddle. I say do whatever works for your bub. Good luck!
Okay so we did one arm out for about 1.5 weeks I think, and gave her a comforter in her other hand. The last two nights we've done both arms free (in a light sleeping bag) with the comforter. She's done really well! It's taken her longer to settle but once she goes down, she sleeps the same as any other night.
Here we go. First nap with both wings off swaddle and both arms out.
Good luck!!! We're still 1 arm out for day naps and both arms in for night time
Pregnant for the first-time?
Not sure where to start? We can help!
