Default First trimester monitoring with Dr Matthias

    Hi ladies,

I have been seeing D M for my OE cycles and now moving on to DE cycle in USA due to my DOR). I have had extensive tests done by Dr Braverman in USA and have significant HLA matches with partner, high NK Cells, high ATAS..

Dr Braverman is putting me on protocol of pred, cleaxane, Intralipids (every 2 weeks) and Neupogen. I am also having LIT with DR M. Hopefully this will do the trick and I will finally get pregnant-but now I'm really worried about the high $$$ I would need to pay Dr Braverman and the nightmare of shipping off blood to USA regularly for monitoring in first trimester. Too much stress!

So...I'm considering just using DR M for monitoring-but was curious to know what if any immune tests does Dr M do to monitor and adjust protocol in first tri?

If any ladies have any information or experience I would be very grateful.

    Thanks!!

Dr M tested my surface markers regularly through to the third trimester. I'm sure if dr b recommended other tests he would be open to doing them.

hi @Lazza, i have just been told i have a complete dq alpha match, with ANA's and high anti TPO (dr lolatgis).

I've been doing heaps of research and dr braverman seems to be a miracle worker in this space.

did you end up going ahead with dr braverman? if so, would love to understand how it all went.

    many thanks

    Hi Emily,

Sorry or late reply! Yes Braverman is very good but expensive. I got my (successful) protocol from him as was cycling in the USA but i am now being monitored by Dr M.

Dr B is not that concerned with DQ alpha match specifically but rather overall HLA matches with your partner. Also KIR is tested a important. As I had a lot of matches.. I was on Neupogen and I also did LIT with Dr M.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi @Lazza, thank you so much for your reply.. and Im happy to hear you have had a successful protocol!

How does Dr M work with Braverman? Did Dr M monitor you via Braverman protocol?

I have a 10 min consult organised with Dr Braverman on Aug 11 - but am pretty much convinced we will go ahead with the blood tests… would rather get answers sooner rather than later!!

I'm just wondering how Dr Lolatgis would work with Braverman?!

All the very very best @Lazza

I would really love to learn more about your insights on this. We have a friend who is in the same situation as you are and she would love to hear about it. We have told her about monitoring and getting professional help but she still has to hear us out.

Default First trimester monitoring with Dr Matthias

Hi Lazza, i am new to the forum and saw your post. I have also had immune testing done with Dr B which revealed that I have 100% HLA alle matches which is concerning, along with some other findings. Dr B has recommended the exact same protocol for me as yours with the addition of Plaquenil and I am also taking Metformin (I had an abnormal glucose tolerance test and my blood sugar will be monitored regularly) and also daily melatonin. I have had miscarriages (one being via IVF - a PGDed embryo). I am about to start my cycle and was wondering if you can share how you went with Dr B and whether you got monitored through the US lab or locally? I am based in Melbourne and have 3 doctors involved (my previous doctor in Sydney who is an immune specialist, Dr B and a new doctor as I've recently moved to Melbourne). Any comments from you will be most appreciated. Thanks
