Default Is wine an appropriate gift for a primary school teacher?

    As the title says.

It's all I could think of to reward the poor woman who had to guide 23 prep kids all year. lol!

I'm sure she will be very appreciative. Teachers are human after all. Wine is fine

I would just suggest to ensure you are the one handing it to her with your child

I'm giving wine to the day care teachers, I figure they deserve it after looking after toddlers all year, plus I assume they get enough homemade gifts from the other kids, plus I'm so not arty or crafty so I'm sure they would prefer wine in my circumstances

    Yes, yes and yes!

Okay, so you get the rare exception where someone doesn't like wine or might think it inappropriate... but for the most part, the many teachers I know would very much appreciate a bottle of wine.
