Default Trouble identifying whether my child is ill.. and with what?

DS is 6 and has been off lately. Trouble is, I can't put my finger on what it is.

He is warm on his forehead, he is getting upset easily (he always whinges but is not a crier), going to bed and sleeping a solid 10 hours and still having to be woken up, and is just not his normal self. But then he has moments of being absolutely fine and playing with his sister as normal.

Is this just a kid thing, am I reading too much into it?

Definitely go to the dr, it could be anything and a few blood tests will rule out something serious. Does he have a temp or just feel hot?

I would leave it unless it gets worse.

    Take his temp.

    Let him sleep.

Make sure he drinks enough water.

He has been like this for over a week. I encouraged him to rest and drink plenty of fluids, letting it run its course naturally.

I will take him to the doctor later this week if he is still running a temperature and isn't himself.

I would take him to the doctor if it's been over a week and he isn't improving.
    May be nothing.
May be tonsillitis or urine infection requiring antibiotics.
    Good luck.
Check his temps and give panadol if needed.
