    Hi girls,
Can I ask what everyone uses for trigger (pregnyl or ovidrel) and whether you have it in muscle or in belly?

I've used ovidrel in the belly for 6 clomid and natural cycles and it's never worked on time so we are trying pregnyl for first stim cycle. Not sure where most people use it and fs says he normally uses ovidrel so I want some others experiences please!

I used pregnyl for my stim and ovidrel for my FET. Pregnyl is a bit scary because it's a powder and a solution and you have to mix it, draw it up and inject it but it's not too bad. I did it directly below my belly button because I think that's where the instructions I had told me to.

I used pregnyl for my last FET as my trigger and injected it to the side of my belly button so it reaches the muscle belly better. No way I could do it in my leg and I'm pretty experienced with leg injections, just not in myself

It worked fine for me and I got a BFP! I had used ovidrel for my stim cycle.

I use pregnyl too, I inject it into my stomach where I have done the other shots.

Also I got some info on Medicare global period today at FS.
I had no idea about it so they explained how to get around some of the fine print to get maximum benefits back.
So for those that don't know global period is a term used by Medicare to define a period that you can't claim any other items other than those relating to your treatment cycle without it affecting the final financial amount you recieve. For iui ivf icsi global period is 30 days from day you start fsh injections. For FET cycle it is 30days from day 1 of AF.
If you require medical attention at any time during your global period and you are bulk billed or would like to make a claim with Medicare you must
    * have a letter from the non FS doctor to say treatment is not related to fertility treatment
    *give copy to FS ASAP
    * take letter to Medicare when you make claim
Or chat to your clinic about it for more info

    Hi guys,
Just wondering if you had to pay for meds that weren't covered by the global ivf bill, and if yes how much. Panicking a bit about our finances and how much we need to have available. Thanks for any info

Trigger shot and egg retrieval done! Waiting to find out today how many fertilised. Seems like they got a lot of eggs 30+ but they didn't tell me yet how many were viable/mature so eagerly awaiting fertilisation report. Hope i don't lose all of them as have heard some posts about people getting a lot of eggs but none fertilise/make it to transfer. I hope some are strong ones. We are doing icsi so hopefully we get some. If so then things will feel like they are starting to move a bit as there should be 'news' basically daily from here on in until day 5. I am hoping for a fresh transfer but I don't know if I have OHSS or not yet. Just a bit of pain and bloating, hopefully just from the retrieval. No nausea or feeling sick yet so fingers crossed I don't have it. Trying to keep up the electrolytes if that is supposed to help.

PS the Dr confirmed DH should abstain for 5 days before eg retrieval day so we did that. Does anyone know when you are supposed to e able to have sex again? Eg before transfer or after transfer and if after how long. I read one place don't do it for 6-8 weeks and another place said as long as it is after your 2 week wait then should be ok.

@Keiko2012 and @StillHopeful1 how did you go today?

I had my scan and things are looking good, 13 good size follicles. Was hoping for a Mon EPU but am being stretched out til Wed to see if we can get some of the smaller follicles larger.
Hopeful that this works and the larger ones don't get too big in the mean time.

How are you both feeling. I'm so bloated, sore and uncomfortable I'm not sure how I'll be by Wed.

It was a reality check that things are so far out of our control today. I think it's just the hormones, but gosh our patience and positivity is tested along this road.

Hope all you other strong ladies are hanging in there x

30+ @2015! That's fantastic. What protocol were you on?
I'm sure your little miracle is amongst all those beautiful eggs. Wishing you the best of luck and lots of patience for the next 2 weeks x

I haven't started yet. Waiting on my period to start sometime from today onwards. So presume I have my first scan monday and will know a lot more about everything then. I don't know anything re protocol, whether I can opt for a fresh cycle etc. I'm starting to get antsy. I just want to START. By the sounds of it the two weeks of injections aren't much more fun either- I have prepared myself for 2 weeks of bloating and uncomfortableness.
@2015- 30 Eggs that is incredible! I have never heard of anyone getting that many! Good luck! A whole sports team coming up .

Wow 2012 that is fantastic! Trust me if you get OHSS, you will know 😕 I got it a day or so after pick up 6 years ago when doing donor IVF. They got 27 eggs, 14 fertilised.

Thanks Juzzabelle, Today's scan went well but there are only 7 good sized eggs atm. At least this time I shouldn't get OHSS. There are a few more smaller ones there and I heard with PCOS they can grow last minute so hoping we get a few more. But I'm still happy because I heard rumours that the low cost clinic only try to get less than 5 and at the end of the day, you only need one good one! Juzzabelle I have another scan Monday and estimate EPU on Wednesday also! While writing this I just had a call to increase my Gonal F from 75 to 100iu.

How did you go today Piper01? Still on schedule for Monday?
