    Thanks for the warm welcomes.
@Minib – Ive been considering trying acupuncture after reading up on it. Ive never tried it before. How long do your sessions go for and what time of the cycle do you go?
@2015 – I understand how you feel about doing pre-baby shopping, especially those adorable little outfits. Im strictly forbidding myself until I know I have someone to shop for. Fortunately everytime Ive seen a cute outfit Im usually in the baby section shopping for someone else and have been able to satisfy the purchase and gift straight away.

@2015 I haven't bought any baby stuff. I don't want to see any until I'm sure I'm getting one. I do however have some maternity wear from my previous pregnancy. When I miscarried, I put everything in a suitcase and put them away. It hurts too much when I can see them.
@ArryLa I have acupuncture every sat morning regardless of the timing of cycle. I also took tcm which helped to regulate my cycle and increase health. For ivf though, this is what my acupuncturist suggested
    - weekly acupuncture
    - one session before and after ET. On the same day preferably.
    - day 3, 6, 9 and 12 after ET
    - then if pregnant continue with weekly acupuncture until 12 weeks

It's exxy. Each session costs $75 minus private health rebate of around $24.
Each session goes for around 40-45 minutes.
TCM (herb) costs $65 no rebate at all.
Some people believe in it some don't. I say you should try for yourself and see how you go.
For this cycle , I will go back to acupuncture minus tcm.

@StillHopeful I have done 3 cycles with orgalutran and have never been told to draw back. I've had them cause a little drop of blood at the end too and it has always worked the way it should. Just trust what ever your specialist says and go with it. Everyone's cycles are different. All the best!

Hope everyone else is travelling along nicely. So many in here now - can't wait for the BFPs to start coming in. I'm cheering for you all until my time finally comes to start!!!
@Minib thanks so much for including me on the roll call even though I'm a straggler! I'm going for my second lot of blood injections in the 16th and then we can finally start on the next day one after that!

@ArryLa I too have done acupuncture with my last two IUI rounds. I definitely feel its worth it. It is very relaxing and you feel like you are doing 'something' that might assist with getting that BFP! I too was given herbs just before christmas to drink 2 x daily. ($140 worth ) but haven't had any yet as I am not sure if they might react with the metformin I have been commenced on.

@2015- I have bought many kids things over the years- sometimes I just walk past some cute outfits or toys and I have to have them. I have a 'baby' box where I put it all in. I don't think it'll jinx you- and you can always give it away, which you hopefully don't have to!

Can anyone give me some advice or heads up on the IVF process. My Doc is away and I am seeing a new one that will be covering him. I called the clinic earlier this am and said I am expecting my period on Friday or Saturday and she said to call on the day otherwise call on monday for a scan. Now, I have had plenty of scans before but never whilst I had my period! I presume that is completely normal and you just wear a pad to your appointment? It will all happen pretty quickly and right now I don't even know what medications I will be on. I guess time will tell. Bit nervous/excited about it all actually happening again, but can't wait. From your experiences when do you start injections?

Hope you're all going well! I haven't tried acupuncture but I'd like to... one day. It's not covered in our health fund so quite expy.

STILL NO PERIOD. I am so freaking out right now, because we have a holiday booked in Feb and I really, really want to do a FET before then. I finished Provera yesterday and really hoping AF will come soon. Any hints or tips to get her here sooner?

Keiko, I don't have any scan when I have my period. This is how my cycles have worked in the past.
Cd1 call clinic to advise I'm starting ivf cycle . Also pick up all the meds
    Cd3 start injecting
Cd8 first scan. I have 30 day cycle on average so that's why I started scan on day 8.
    Cd10 another scan.
I could then be going for more scans and blood test daily from cd11 to cd13/14 depending on when I ovulate.
Then trigger injection and epu 48 hours later.

Also re the herb, you should check with your doctor if you can take them when stimming. My doctor told me to stop all herb during ivf. Just stick to acupuncture so I listen to my FS. Acupuncturist not very happy.

It's exciting and nervous at the same time starting ivf.

Oh gosh, is it day 40 plus now? Eating pineapple could help I heard?

I'm also worried about my cycle this month. Thought I saw more egg white type of CM on cd28 which means I could be having 42 day cycle. Noooo

    Hi ladies,

spoke to my IVF nurse today and I am booked in for a scan on the 16th plus a frozen transfer on the 30th. Yay so exciting.

I have bought one baby item - a small tan pair of baby rm Williams boots. They are just divine and hoping to use them when we get our BFP in an announcement. Eg my boots, hubby's boots and then baby boots. Fx it happens soon.
@Mrs Jaguar oh dear I have no idea what can bring on period. Would a hot bath or heat pack assist? I really don't know. Xx

Thanks @Minib. I guess I will find out all the details by next Monday. Will definitely stop using the herbs by then, so not sure whether it's even worth starting them, probably not for a week. The acupuncturist won't be happy either when I tell her that I haven't even started them! Oh well. One thing at a time. Metformin is enough for now.

@Minib and @mrsjaguar- must be extremely frustrating not knowing when AF will arrive. I have been blessed in that regard that most times I get mine on time. they arrive soon!
