Sorry it's in the pregnancy and babies via IVF section (same as this thread) and called "over 40 and pregnant IVF/DE"

Yes this was her post a few days ago. I'm sure she will drop in really soon:

Just a quick one. Alexa was born the perfect cherub at 4pm today.

Weighing 3.7 kilos and 49cm long at 38 weeks.

We're besotted. Feeling sore but can't stop looking at her. Breastfeeding so well.

    X

    Happy New Year everyone!

Hope you all had a very festive xmas. We loved it. Who has kiddies off to school this year? AMUM? I've held Evie back, she's only 5 towards end of July, I don't think she's quite ready...neither am I! She was thinking she was going though and last week had to break it to her she's not...didn't go down too well.

    Hi girls

Kismet - Yes Kade is off to big school. I just picked up his school uniform pack today. To say he is excited is an understatement lol. I'm not sure I am as ready but it's lovely to see him so excited. Unlike his big brother who cried for the first year of school....now that was stressful. ..

    Hope you are all well☺

Hello my lovelies... I have been a slack mole and should have popped in here to visit my 'homies'...

Well as most of you know we welcomed Alexa into our lives on 29th December.

I cannot even begin to describe how we both feel about her arrival. It has been such a horrendous journey and so many times I thought of giving up but the end gift is more magnificent then we could have ever dreamt of.

I cannot get enough of her. I have never been overly motherly or clucky with other peoples babies unless it was family or friends... even hen I was so guarded and unsure. But the second they placed Alexa on my chest every instinct kicked in.

Our girl came out bum first (she was breech for the end of my preganacy)...th only girl of 9 babies born that day at the Freemason's. And the biggest baby of the day...ahahahaha.

Coping well now post caesarean, my Obs went over the previous scar but am finding breastfeeding a challenge now after a case of mastitis earlier this week. So she is mainly bottle fed now. We started well breastfeeding, she was right onto it and teaching ME what I needed to do, the midwives thought it was hilarious.

DH is a star...who knew I married the baby whisperer. They are so funny together.

    Anyway here she is...

    Hi Ladies!

So we have another baby amongst us....Congratulations MILLIE on the arrival of your little boy, he is just like his big sister, cute as a button.

SPOT - Oh my your little poppet is just gorgeous, she's making me clucky, what a little gem she is. Sounds like things are going well.

It's been a big year for babies. I don't think I'll ever stop feeling clucky.

Very quiet here, looks like we're all busy busy mums.
Evie has been a little challenging lately, she has regressed with toilet training and weeing and pooing herself, not sure why, I think she gets too busy and caught up in what she's doing & leaves it to the last second and it's too late. Not sure how to tackle it, I've tried to be patient but have lost it lately at her but that doesn't work either. I don't know what is going on with her, it mostly happens at daycare, I've pointed out she likes privacy going to the toilet but for some reason she still has issues with it. Also they've pointed out her lack of concentration and not listening during group times, which she has always had a problem with but now I'm really worried because she should be developing these skills and she's not, she isn't disruptive, she just doesn't pay attention. I'm worried she won't be school ready and this why I held her back this year. So, I'm not sure what to do about this either. I did say to her daycare/preschool teacher that she just thinks she's there to play not learn therefore isn't interested in group time, so we have to think of a way to get her to pay attention. Thinking of trying to get her into another preschool that's more focused on school readiness if I can. Also stressing about my parents, my dad has just had a stint in hospital as he hadn't been well for several weeks, I took him to ER and they took him straight in as he had dangerously low sodium levels, he's home now and slowly recovering, he's almost 80 and this is the first time he has been in hospital. Both my parents are showing signs of alzheimers and dementia, my mother particularly but she isn't cooperating with us to get any help, so it's been really difficult.
Life isn't dull at the moment, there is always something going on!

    Hope everyone is well xx

Kismet - You are having a rotten time, and I'm so sorry to hear both of your parents are unwell. It's really typical of a dementia patient not to cooperate (they don't think they are unwell at all and it is part of the condition). My sister's next door neighbour has just been returned home at 95 after a stint in hospital (she has dementia) and she STILL doesn't want to move into a care facility because she won't accept she needs support. Rings the neighbours 10-20 times a day asking them to help her with trivial stuff, and her dementia issues means she asks the same questions countless times and has trouble retaining information. Has a daughter but they don't get on and her daughter is clearly unwilling to force the issue of getting her into full time care. It is driving my sister and other neighbours batty as she smokes too and they are worried about a possible fall/fire. It is a really cruel condition, and I really hope you can get the medical profession to support you in relation to your mum.

Yes, I have had a son on February 18th Aidan Charlie. He was 3.625g when he was born and I've been on cloud nine since having finally finished my family (and with IVF) after 6 years of TTC and 2 beautiful children thanks to angel donors! Here is a picture of him 2 days after his birth. Very much has a little boy face and I can't stop kissing both my children:

Spot - I just saw the new photos of your Alexa. She is absolutely stunning. Not surprised given your own lovely face. I'm sorry you had mastitis. Very painful and scary to go through as a new mum. I'm not surprised your hubby is such a star performer as a dad. He's always been a great partner to you, and you are such a fantastic team together. Congratulations again!
