From what I remember I think in the past it's been recommended that she gain some weight because she's quite slim?

I am not overweight, I am normal weight.
I was so distracted yesterday by all the information about IVF and immune protocol that I didn't really think to ask why I was taking metformin. I was all alone and it was a lot to take in on my own.
I called today but he's not in and they couldn't tell me anything.

@CinderElla88 - as you've answered "no" to our questions, you really shouldn't be taking metformin. It's only going to have an adverse effect for you. I wouldn't be taking it without being clear as to why.

It's so hard Cinder when going to appointments with these sort of things. I know I would often go on my own because DH was at work. I'd be so nervous because I didn't know what to expect & it was so hard to take it all in afterwards. I'm sure there's a good reason why the doctor has prescribed it for you & if he's recommended it I'd be taking it (unless you think there was a mistake made).

How are you feeling about it all? Are they doing any follow up appointments for you? How long does he want you taking it for?

I emailed the FS and asked about it, this is the reply I received
"You have polycystic ovaries and I think women taking it have better Ivf cycles and less chance of miscarriage."
So I guess I will be taking it.

Oh that's good Cinder, at least you know the reason why he wants you to take it. Good luck

Would be interesting to know why he thinks it would assist IVF. I haven't heard of it affecting egg quality, so interested to know how else it would help.

    Happy new year ladies 😊

    How is everyone going?

I'm still on my journey - we're going to start IVF early this year until I saw a naturopath who said that I have an extreme estrogen dominance. This probably the core of our infertility. I'm on a strict diet (gluten, sugar and dairy free) and taking herbs to re-balance my hormones. My symptoms all makes sense now!

check out this link for more information- you never know, it may help someone out there: http://www.womenlivingnaturally.com/articlepage.php?id=72

    I'm feeling positive

@Shrillian - doing really well; since taking the herbs my periods are finally normal!! Just one more month of herbs and strict diet then we will try to conceive naturally for a couple of months.

    How are you going?
