@CinderElla88 - so will you be doing ICSI or IVF?
We will be doing Icsi apparently. I have no idea what the metformin is for he just told me to take it, is it maybe for Pco?
Metformin is for pcos to help with insulin resistance. Do you have pcos cinder?
I don't have pcos just pco, very odd, I didn't think I needed it, whatever I'll take it anyway
I was told it was to improve egg quality
I'm sorry Cinder, and I don't want to be a b@tch but, you're not making sense.
And why don't you ask your Dr questions?
I'm genuinely confused.
I'm not sure if metformin does anything to improve egg quality. It's for diabetes generally and they give it to women with pcos because pcos can cause insulin resistance which can cause the ovaries to make more testosterone, which causes hair growth/acne/irregular periods.
I would be asking your doctor what exactly the metformin is for cinder, just so you have a clear understanding, because if there's no actual reason for you needing to take it then you can avoid the awful side effects it has!
Pregnant for the first-time?
Not sure where to start? We can help!
