    Congratulations Rocky!

Starflame I have been keeping an eye/ear out for new low cost IVF clinics and Monash IVF have opened a new service in Sydney. It only $800 out of pocket and you only have to attend 2 visits in person - Egg Collection and Embryo Transfer. All the rest are done by phone/skype Here is the link http://bumpivf.com.au/why-bump/ I have no personal experience with the clinic but it wouldn't hurt to look into it.
I also spoke to a couple of ladies who were able to withdraw money from their own/Hubby Super account in order to do IVF. Here is the link for that. http://mysupercare.com.au/services/ivf-services-advice/ they said it was a very simple process and really worth it to be able to access the services while still young.

Hope you are all doing well. After much tears I am embracing my new Childless Couple status - but we followed my counsellors advise and went to another clinic to get a final independent consultation on our situation so we will never be left thinking "What if". I have my appointment with them on Thursday to get all the test results and final word.
    Cheers Boysie

Thanks boysie I live in QLD though. I've never heard of being able to take from your super to do IVF either! I was under the assumption you could only for dire emergencies but that's worth looking into. I hope this consultation gives you some good news, please update us about it? Xx

Hi Ladies. Has my appointment. Test results: Normal Ovarian reserve. Egg Quality looks good. Normal Uterus. No Genetic factors/Medical Problems. Looking at all previous clinical notes good responder to IVF. Conclusion No reason for being Unable to fall & Stay pregnant.
Husband Results. Previous Test (2011) showed Low Count, Low Motility. Recent test (2015) showed much worse but still enough sperm for ICSI. But would NEVER be able to get pregnant without IVF/ICSI. If tried ICSI again would want Husband to do whatever he did in 2011 when he had the better Sperm. (Vitamins/Exercise/No Caffeine etc)

Review of Embryos from last 6 cycles (2011-2014). Good Egg Number, Good fertilization rates. Poor Growth. The Dr Reviewing this said it could be bad genetics in either the egg/sperm or it could be poor Lab practices.

Final Word. Dr would be happy to treat us with ISCI and would expect a good result. However if there is a genetic problem with the Embryo than we could expect the same result - No Pregnancy/Early Miscarriage. Left us with we need to decide "do we keep trying or have an overseas holiday and move on".

So there we are. Contrary to my last clinic's opinion - I have pretty much the same chance as any 30 something women trying to get pregnant using ICSI (so 4 out of 5 tries would not work, 1 out of 5 could). But do hubby and I want to put ourselves through it all again? These last 6 months have been really great and stress free. hmmmm

I welled up a bit Rocky seeing your precious little button. Congrats hun you deserve this so much

Cinder, Shrill & starflame - how are you all travelling?

Boysie - wow what a big decision. I want to tell you not to give up. But my battles ttc pale in comparison to yours and if you decide you can no longer go on that would be so understandable.

I'm okay. It's been easy not to think about ttc since finding out I'm unable to fall pregnant but I have my days. I haven't been keeping good track of my cycles, just when they start and if something weird happens. I thought af might be coming cos I had 3 days of light pink cm but nothing has happened. It's a hard routine to get out of analysing everything that's for sure!

TBH since we are done with kids and DH has had the snip I've not been keeping track of my cycles at all. It's so wonderful not to be watching cm, doing a million OPK's, stressing about timing.

I still hope you get a surprise BFP

Boysie - have you considered doing ICSI with genetic testing of the embryos? At least then you'd know for sure if it's a genetic issue.
