So we did the IUI yesterday. It was a bit uncomfortable, but nothing like the HSG I had in August! Once the FS had put the swimmers in I had to lie down for 10mins. DH thought it hilarious that the FS uses an egg timer for this. I was a bit crampy for the rest of the day, which made me feel better about taking a sick day from work. We were told to DTD last night and/or this morning to increase our chances. We had planned to DTD this morning to give DH 24hrs to replenish his stocks, but when we woke up this morning we had no water (burst water main), so we didn't end up DTD because we both just felt gross. I was up before DH so was doing the ironing and got a bit sweaty. When DH got up he spent a couple of hours trying to fix the water pump in our rainwater tank so we'd have some water, and then by the time the water came on we were cutting it fine to finish our housework before friends came over! I really hope the IUI was enough!!

I haven't check in for a little while but we've just done our first IVF/ICSI cycle and today I got my official bfp! Hcg and progesterone are looking good but don't have another BT until next week due to christmas. So happy though!

Congratulations Teeja. As for me, AF started today. Which means I had a 23 day cycle. So cr@p. Plus I get to bleed for Christmas. Yay, aren't I lucky? I don't know what to do now because I know the FS is on hols from QFG at the moment and I'm not sure when he starts back with them in the new year.

Default Long Term TTC chat #3

@theoneandonlyem sorry to hear about AF - strange that it was a shorter cycle. Are you sure it wasn't implantation bleeding or has it def turned into AF?

Congrats @Teeja!! Nice Xmas present for the family 🎁

Afm - I'm convinced there is something not quite right down there and will wait to find out more in Feb when I have the lap. After AF this cycle I seem to get a tugging/tightening sensation that sometimes turns into a sharp stabbing pain (this is not ovulation pain as that comes later). Ah well, it's a waiting game until I get answers in Feb.

Hope everyone else is doing well and has survived the silly season!

@Tiggzie def AF. 4 days so far plus my temp plummeted. We're just going to wing this month because of my FS being off, so no Clomid or anything. We shall see.
