Was that the CRL (crown rump length)?
That's always the way.. Some people have a secret spidey sense for pregnancy!
Did you see a little heartbeat?

No heartbeat yet, no idea about other measurements. I have to go and pick up the physical scans and results tomorrow. It could be written on that.

He also did make a point that he had to get on some awkward angle to see the yolk sac or baby. Don't know if that'd change anything.

    I'm just so freakin relieved.

It's still early days I'm sure the hb will start up soon. I'll bet you're relieved! The first trimester is so scary even without bleeding. Glad to hear your Bub is doing okay!

From my scan last Thursday, pre-bleed, they said I should have another in 10-14 days to check for the foetal pole and "cardiac activity" so that's next on the to do list

That sounds perfect! 5w5d is extremely early for a heartbeat so that's not concerning. Was it an external or internal scan? You might just had a retroverted uterus like I do which makes early scans difficult! The fact that you're measuring spot on for dates sounds perfect. Any idea when you're getting your next scan? Make sure you keep us updated!

Internal. He did external to start with and was like "can't see much, there's another way we can do this..." And I informed him that I was booked for an internal anyway

Next scan should be sometime between next Monday and Thursday, gojng from last week's "10-14 days"

Soooooo far away lol! I hate the first trimester!

For my first scan he tried externally and got a bub measuring about 5w3d with a HB of only 80bpm and then he measured internally and got a bub measuring 6w3d with a 120bpm...that teeny little bub is 10 months and sleeping on me right now!

Everything is so far away. I don't know how I survived from Saturday until now. Eugh. And I've only known about the pregnancy for two weeks tomorrow. Two weeks. How even?!

My EDD has been moved up to august 3. That was /my/ due date when I was still unborn, and I came on July 3.
So I'm sticking with an estimated July birthday. Nobody in my family has ever arrived on their due date.
