    No biggie.
My dd has forgotten her siblings birthday and rings the next day. No big deal. We all get busy and forget things sometimes. She doesn't live with us so no reminders etc.

Oh my in laws get cranky if WE don't ring THEM on OUR birthdays or our kids' birthdays.

So perhaps follow their lead, OP and get mad at your sister for not ringing you 😝

Given the relationship I have with my brothers (1 in particularly) I'd wonder what the hell was going on if he contacted me at all let alone acknowledge his nephew or niece.

To those who never forget and always have a gift I'm curious, how many nieces and nephews do you have?

    This!

I'm guilty of calling the next day for my in laws (let's not start the why doesn't DH call thread!), I don't have any nieces or nephews from my immediate family.

It wouldn't bother me if someone didn't call or text on DDs birthday, they often haven't for mine.

It would depend on context for me. If this was a rarity I wouldn't be that bothered. But if there was a pattern, yep I'd be annoyed. My mother regularly sends gifts that are days to a good week+ late citing being 'busy'. It upsets me as I know it's about apathy and it's a regular occurrance.

It wouldn't bother me, we have a big family and let's face it, life sometimes happens and we do sometimes forget, at the time.

I would be disappointed for my children, especially if a grandparent forgot but I wouldn't be cranky.

You really should be more thoughtful...about yourself. It's like inviting yourself over to play!
