Default Baby wearing - baby doesnt like it

Any tips for encouraging baby to like being worn & also to go to sleep in the carrier?

He really doesnt seem to like it for more than a couple of minutes & he wont go to sleep in it

My DD liked it if I went about my housework while she was in it. She didn't like me standing still! She just about always went to sleep if I put her in it and did the vacuuming, weird I know but it worked. I think the motion and noise helped get her off to sleep.

I have one of the new bjorns with the wide base. I cant buy anything else, that one was expensive enough.

I'd say he doesn't like that type of carrier. Try selling on the BWBSS page on facebook and then loan out other types to try

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the only carrier that doesn't upset you neck isn't it?

If a different carrier isn't an option I would just keep persevering. Try really small amounts of time and housework - vacuuming is great for the noise.

The other thing is to walk. If he isn't going to settle anywhere then there is nothing wrong with walking while he cries. Maybe even put the iPod on so you can't hear him as much.

I mine were really unsettled I would walk and pat their bum in time with my walking.

I doubt ill get much for it though, cause its a bjorn & everyone seems to hate bjorns.

Where could I borrow one from? I dont know anyone that baby wears & cant get to a meet as I dont drive

    The newer ones sell better
Join your local group on FB. Normally the library coordinators are super helpful and would probably come to you if you have a good one

Ok thanks ill look into the bwing groups

I was hoping to be able to wear him so I can do things like sit & eat, not walking. But maybe if he learns to settle when im walking, then he'll let me sit down

I used to have to do a few laps of the house moving and dancing and patting until ds went to sleep and then I could sit down and relax. I would say try to get him to at least like it while moving and then go from there maybe?
