Oh you poor thing, I can't stand when family do this. People don't seem to understand that it's not their news to tell. With dd we tried to do the right thing & let family know around 8-10 week mark. We had same thing happen & won't tell anyone next time until we're ready. Some people just seem to need to tell other peoples news & it's very frustrating.

I wouldn't mind half as much if she apologised when I said I wished she hadn't told anyone. She was a defensive jerk and isn't speaking to me now. Pass the fuming, eyeroll emoji please.

What is it with being rude like that then thinking they don't have to apologize

Yep. My in laws don't know what an apology is. And they're always doing/saying the wrong thing.

FIL is a complete a hole. He's pretty much disowned my hubby and his brother because we didn't visit them enough (they expected us to visit every single weekend. After we had our first bub it was not possible, especially when i went back to work - we needed our own time on the weekends sometimes, apparantly that was unacceptable). Anyway last xmas hubby gets a text from his dad asking us to bring ds over to their place for a visit and to give him presents, while ignoring us. Previously he had said alot of nasty things to us, the kind of stuff you can't take back. Hubby told him no, not until you want to be adult enough to sit down, apologize and work this out. His father said that's never going to happen so don't bother.
Way to stubborn and pig headed.
His mother is just as bad. Placing all the blame for her not being part of our lives on me. Even if she decided to apologize to me (which will never happen) it's too late as far as I'm concerned

Or being offended at you pointing out their rudeness and playing the victim.

I think I mentioned earlier in the thread that we learnt our lesson the first time. Nothing was said until after 12 weeks.

Dd has a milk protein issue, ( apparently I had it as a baby too). I cannot have any dairy, and dd is on neocate top ups. We have seen the pead and had tests done.

Mil response when she found out "oh dairy free is the fashion at the moment, everyone is drinking lactose free"

Um I think the pead knows what they are talking about, I'm not going dairy free to keep up with the Kardashians

On Friday MIL asked me if DD2 (10 months old) had club foot simply because her foot and toes were a bit bunched when she was standing up! WTF MIL?! Don't you think the MCHN would have picked up in that by now?!

My MIL announced our pregnancy on Facebook. Was only 10 weeks along. We were both so angry!! Dp went off at her. I was so upset and annoyed! We both decided she won't be getting told until at least 15 weeks next pregnancy. It was suppose to be our news but she ruined it.

If mil went on the internet she'd have told the rest of the world besides who she already had. Im glad she doesn't want to live in an it world.
