Did it come up at dinner?
I just got 17 notifications on FB from my MIL liking/commenting on my posts. Like on a rant 'Are you okay Chillies?' ummm clearly not if I'm ranting. Likes anything I tag her son in but if there is any that may relate to our personal jokes she'll comment 'I don't get this?' ummmm you're not suppose to-I tagged hubby, not you! Grrrrr I use to respond and now I just ignore her. It's petty I know but oh so annoying to know she's watching everything I do on social media!
I'm so glad my MIL doesn't have facebook. But if she did, she'd be soooooo blocked!!
I make no secret of it that I dislike my Outlaws. And no wonder, with gems like this:-
(At the family Christmas party, in front of everyone....)
Uncle H (innocently, to DH and I): So will you two be having children do you think?
MIL: Oh NO. THEY won't be having kids. Michael already has kids with Sandra (the ex-wife.)
Um yeah. Because I (10 years younger than DH with no children of my own and now quietly doing IVF) couldn't possibly want a baby, could I?
That comment was right after we'd gotten married and was so hurtful I had to walk away. You would think that someone who has 7 kids of their own would have some idea about these things....
There have been many more equally as insensitive comments since. We do our best not to see them too often anymore.
