I just can't believe he was there for so long. I know that being underground would have protected him from some weather but no food for that long? How did he have the energy to cry? If they were riding bikes it would have to be loud enough to hear.

I feel like there's more people involved like her family. Where is the father in all of this? You can't make a baby by yourself.

Maybe lay off the judgement until we know more about her and what happen?

It's showing that she is taking responsibility for what happen by taking herself to the police station. It would not have been easy.

If we are to lay off the judgment that should extend to the hospital staff as well.

Default *trigger warning* baby found down drain

They released more information... Apparently the mother admitted to dump the baby down the drain knowing that it would kill him. 😞

She also has been living with her aunt, uncle and cousin in an apartment and is at flight risk as her parents and siblings live in Samoa.

I get what you are saying that we don't know what happened. However you are also making judgements that may not be correct. The mother rocking up at the police station may not be a sign of her taking responsibility. Would she have rocked up at the police station if bubba had been found dead? Did a relative work out what was going on and give her an ultimatum?

Sorry but considering what she did it just made my stomach churn to hear about her volunteering herself at the police station being described as "good of her." Even if it is a sign she is taking responsibility I wouldn't describe it as "good of her." I would describe it more like "taking responsibility", "accepting the consequences for what she's done" "facing up to her b&stardly act" etc etc

... It's good of her to admit that she knew what she was doing would kill her baby. ?

that's true. up until that point I was very much clinging to the hope that maybe she didn't do it 😞

I wonder if we will ever know the full story of how things got to this ending. it is a miracle the baby survived the fall and to be rescued days later, amazing. I wish the baby all the love and good health and a long life. I have always felt it is just not wise practice for the hospitals to release mothers so quickly after birth. I know when I had my children there was no such rush. I know most mothers are probably fine, but it is not always the case. so sad for everyone involved and eternally grateful for those who rescued the baby . marie.
