Ladies how do I whean off Dexmethasone? I'm on 0.5mg 2 times a day. Can I just drop to 0.5mg once a day for 5 days and then stop or should I do half tablets twice a day.

Also can you just do back to back cycles on steroids withouth stopping them?

    Thank you!

Thank you ladies for your kind words of support you guys are so awesome xx Im doing ok, its my girls due date this Friday. This is our real grief and sadness.
Our specialist surgeon rang me yesterday to check I was already for my c section. I should have said yep, tell him to be there. Teach them for upsetting people and not reading their notes.
This cycle failure in a bump in a very long long sad sad road

Good luck for fert rates Butterfly

Karolina as for the dex weaning thats what I did, I was on 2 0.5 mg once per day. So I just it down to once per day for a week, then every second the week after.
This was on a m/c when I had been on them for about two months.
When I had a BFN I was naughty and refused to take any more,
I also have done this with the Pred from my last cycle a so CBF attitude.
When I was pregnant I weaned off dex properly as per Dr instructions.

Ive got no idea on back to back cycles, on steroids.

Hoping to see some answers as per my missing AF and get this hysterscopy thing done ASAP!!!
Any ideas why still a no show, how long does it take for progesterone to do down ??

Good luck they don't mess up with your paper work Bhope

Francesthecat: I know how u feel. I haven't forgotten our loss. I remember the due date. Had some tears. It was also around the same time of my second chemical. Ya, I know it is a chemical. It is not even a baby yet but it is real to us. It was a miracle after all with that few sperms from dh. He/she was the bio child we will never get to see. Not that we will ever going to have a bio child now. I have been avoiding one colleague's wife for a year. Their bub was born about the same time as our due date. It just affects me in many ways. We ended up meeting each other at a company outing over christmas. Not only me but Dh was also not so active looking or playing with the baby. It hurt me when she kept asking me if the baby looks like the father. At this kind of moment (anniversary), it is just hard. Have you thought about naming the bub, having a goodbye ceremony? I know some ppl think it is a bit silly. But I think it is important to be acknowledged. We haven't done anything but I will have a keepsake with a name in the future. Dh mate told about his wife miscarriage. So I feel the need of acknowledgement from ppl so they can be a bit more sensitive than insensitive around us. Hugs. Love.

Oh no Francesthecat. You made me tear up with your story. Can't believe they called you and didn't check the notes properly. So.sorry you had to go through this. You showed an amazing restraint. I would have lost it if it was me.

Frances.... oh talk about licking salt in the wound. This whole journey for all of us has been full of stuff ups, medical specialists not following up things or phoning, charging wrong amounts etc etc. But that's probably the worst I've heard.

AFM... So after not having a cold or being sick for a record 7 months (that I put down to all those immune drugs I've been taking), this afternoon I've come home with a sore throat, feverish all over and a thumping headache. No doubt still to get worse, before getting better, but really could have done without a cold at the moment. I've done a bit of googling and it says panadol is fine, so will just try a few of those, unless you have any recommendations?

@Mrs Sagi, congrats! Nice numbers there too. When do you head home? Enjoy the 'can't believe it' phase before the morning sickness kicks in!!
@karolona and @francesthecat, so sorry it hasn't turned out to be good news for you both. Big hugs. @Karolina, usually with back to back cycles you'll wean down and then increase closer to the transfer without stopping completely. Ask your Dr for weaning instructions. @francesthecat, the due dates are so hard and it's just awful that you haven't had good news this cycle to help with losing your beautiful Lilly. Thinking of you. Be kind to yourself over the next few days-lots of pampering.
@Butterfly39, great fert rate-congrats! Grow little ones grow!!
@PreciousHeart, how are you going? Sorry if I've missed an update from you. Hope all is well.
@Pauli77, I'd heard LIT was painful. Try and think of it as pain tolerance training for birth!! Hope it does the trick for you.
@bbhope, how are you feeling? Hope all is going well.
@McG Bertie, rest rest rest! I got knocked for six with a nasty cold a few weeks ago and it took about 2 weeks to get over. The Drs can give you quite a bit that's safe so go see one if you need to. I think panadol is fine and you want to keep on top of the fever as the main priority. Did you end up asking Dr M about immune patients and due dates/c-sec etc?

AFM:just waiting for my latest blood results with Dr M and hoping that I'll be able to stop the last 5mg of prednisolone. That will only leave clexane-woohoo! Still getting fairly decent morning sickness at 27 weeks which I'm finding a tad exhausting.

Francesthecat, that is so devasting for you and so unprofessional of them! I'm sure we all wish we can take the pain away from all you beautiful ladies who have lost their little angels.

Ladybug, you poor thing still having morning sickness. I thought the steriods were supposed to mask it? Obviously not. I arrived back home last Tuesday...back to work this week, i actually missed it. I must be weird!

Bertie, you poor thing, yes panadol for the fever. What about a jot lemon drink for the throat?

Bb, some people just don't consider others before they speak or do something, you poor thing.

Butterfly, I'd be getting out now incase you can't when you need to. Grow little embies grow.

Karolina, if you're doing back to back i wouldnt stop completely.

AFM. 2nd beta results are in and they have more than doubled from 205 to 514, prog is 145. FS wants me to test agsin on Friday and then I can make an appt with him for next week. Dr M said to continue with my protocol, just not sure if i need another intrilipid or IVIG yet? I'll wait to see what he says tomorrow I guess. I'm still in disbelief and don't actually think its real!
