How frustrating Bertie. That's why I decided to go through fertility clinic to do my BT monitoring now rather than any pathlab. With pathlab, I pay nothing (medicare covers all). with the Perth fertility clinic , it is all out of pocket. Because the pathlab won't tell me the result and caused some annoyances before. So I just pay the service. The nurses at the Perth fertiliy clinic are lovely anyway.
So saturday BT didn't get to syd clinic before they closed. I hate this 3hrs difference thing! even though the Perth clinic told me the result, I couldn't start without fs ok. So all timing messed up now.

I'm not seeing Dr M, no. I'm seeing Dr Mel Cam at MIVF. I was referred to her as she's an endo specialist and this was before we realised that the immune issue was part of my problem. I'll stick with her for now but I am happy to have read many, many great things about Dr M so I definitely have him on my list of people to see down the track if I need to. I've also been told great things about Dr L at Monash, so we'll see how I go with my current people and I can always switch if I need to.

AFM... I didn't get Friday's BT on Friday, and won't get the results until tomorrow (Mon) as G never rang back (even though I left two messages on Friday and one on Saturday) and the GP on-call (as my GP is away until Monday too!!) wouldn't tell me the results over the phone, as he said, "I don't know the rest of your history, so I can't interpret the result" so have no idea if I'm safely over the 6 week mark yet or not. What a comment!! I'm sure he could have just told me the silly number!!
That's so frustrating the doctor wouldn't tell you, MGC Bertie. I hope everything goes well for you today.

Lulubee, Dr C was my FS and although she will tell you she will test for immune issues they are not the same as Dr M. MIVF do not have any experience or knowledge on true immune issues. When I told her about Dr M she asked me a couple of questions on what he prescribed me and just said, oh I'm sure I tested you for that, but she hadn't. I recommend going to Dr M or Monash. MIVF is just a production line for their cash cow. Sorry for being blunt, I actually went to a couple of FS's there and at the end of the day they stick to their script book and that's it rather than tailoring to suit each individual.

Thanks ladies... finally, got Friday's BT results today - Hcg is 54,000 (36dpo) which I thought would have been higher than that since it was 21,000 at 29dpo. I know that doubling time is 48hrs in the first few weeks (which it has been spot on), and then starts to slow down, but this week makes the doubling time 123hrs, but I'm thinking that maybe that's OK. Well, I guess there's nothing I can do so will have to just wait and see what the scan shows tomorrow (Tues). P4 has increased from 140-150 now to 165, but Dr M said to stay on 3 x pessaries per day - was kind of hoping that I could decrease these.

Hi girls, sorry for thread crashing but I have 2 unopened boxes of Clexane 40mg that I don't need anymore... Id love to give them to someone here rather than take them to the pharmacy to dispose of. Would anyone like them? Happy to post free of charge and of course don't want any $ for them. All the best!

@McGbertie Hcg should slow around 7 weeks (I think) so try not to worry about the doubling any longer. Good luck with your scan!

Thanks so much for the heads up, Sagi. To be honest I was in two minds about going with Dr C. I only did so because she was the person my gyn (who did my recent lap and endo/adeno diagnosis) recommended for endo. But I've since realised that she might not be the best fit for the immune side of things. I also have a friend who is actually an embryologist at Monash and she recommended Dr L very highly. I feel like maybe I'll hang with Dr C for a bit - in the (perhaps naive) hope of getting pregnant naturally on the Prednisolone, but then will switch if no joy.

I do think Dr C can probably help me with the endo/adeno side of this - as the immune stuff is unfortunately not my entire issue. I think I'll need to down reg for the adeno. Gah. It's all so full on. I'm just getting my head around it all.

Thanks again for the advice. Much appreciated.
