Default *Spinoff* Bad mother of the year award

    ... goes to me!

Yesterday I was trying to trim our wriggly toddler's hair and... I cut his ear! His EAR!

Please make me feel better and tell me what you've done to qualify for a bad-mother-of-the-year award if there was one.

ETA - I have added *spinoff* to the title because I was reminded of Little Miss Sunshine's post http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...ghlight=spider

Oh you poor thing, I bet you were more traumatised than him! When my DD was a few months old I was cutting her nails and I accidentally cut off a big chunk of the top of her finger 😁 it was awful!! There was blood and she cried her eyes out, and so did I!! To this day I refuse to cut her nails, that has become DHs job.

When dd was 3 I put her into her car seat and it was a hot day and I didn't move the belt buckles before I put her down. The buckles burnt her little thigh. I have never cried so hard in my life

This morning kiddo asked me to do tue school swimming lessons so they had an extra parent helper. I told him i was too tired to go swimming. I prolly could of gone but i only woke up about an hour ago from sleeping. He made me feel extremely guilty coz he doesnt really ask me to do much at the school.

I'm another that cut the tip of my newborns finger when cutting his nails. I was totally devastated... I went and hid in the wardrobe and cried for hours.

I also let ds roll of the bed once when he was about 4 months 😔

I caught ds1s finger in his high chair tray when he was 8 months old. He was screaming and I thought it was because he was so hungry so I quickly made his food and finally worked it out after he wouldn't swallow his food. His poor little finger was squashed I'm such an idiot for not realising sooner but he always screamed for food :/

I've also clipped both boys with their dummy chain clips and the car seat. They had a water park birthday and we forgot to put sun screen on ds2 (12 months)

No accidents with dd yet but I'm sure there will be since I'm clearly mother of the year!

After being warned not to leave DD as a newborn on the lounge alone, I did for a moment and she fell onto the cold, hard tiles. Lesson learnt! Gosh did I feel awful and silly for doing so.
