Default High NK cells and possible DQ Alpha gene match

So I finally had my appointment with Dr Lolitgas at Monash IVF. He went over my history and we discussed treatment plans. He has had hubby and I both tested for DQ Aplha gene match and we will find out hopefully on the 1st of Dec the results. He also wants to fight my high NK cells more aggressively with prednisilone from CD1 until 16 weeks, intralipids just before O then at 4/8 and 12 weeks, clexane from O for not sure how long.
Has anyone had the DQ Alpha gene match with their partner and gone on to have a healthy baby. He did tell me about the treatment, having hubbies blood taken and inserted under my skin, sounds horrible.

Hi Carlar78, my husband and I have a small DQ alpha match but haven't used any treatment for it. I see you have high nk cells and posted dr nick has prescribed prednisolone over plaquinol, that another dr overseas suggested. I've got high nks too and my IVF dr says plaquinol over steriods..Hmm there's so many conflicting opinions between drs.

I see dr nick likes intralipids. Another area I'm confused with differing opinions.
Im seeking a whole new opinion on these treatments as like you I've had repeated miscarriages.

    Hi Kirsty
The specialist from the UK wanted me to try steroids with intralipids before he puts me on any other medication for the high NK cells. He said because they are still in early trials and he is unable to run tests on me like he would a patient in the UK he wants to do this first. Dr Nick said having our daughter may have triggered something in me that now rejects Adam's sperm thinking it's foreign. Just have to wait and see when the results come back.
I am 9DPO so will know in 3 days if I'm pregnant, if I am I will do the intralipids and hope it works.

Yes still in trial. DH and I have a matching DQ Alpha gene, I found out yesterday. Still waiting for the letter so don't know the details but it's a match.

Hi @Carlar78, my DH and I have recently started seeing Dr nick, and have been diagnosed with both high NK cells and matching DQ Alpha genes.
We have just finished the blood treatment and it's not too bad.
You do it twice, once and then again four weeks later. DH gets 8
Vials of blood taken and they then treat it and reduce it to 2 very small needles full. They numb your forearm with cream and then inject it just under the skin multiple times. It does hurt a little - like when the needle goes in when you have a blood test, but the whole process is very quick and once it's done it does not hurt anymore.
We start our next cycle at the beginning of feb, so I'm not sure if it works yet.

    Hi Carla 78,
Catching up how your getting on with nk cells DQ alpha result since we chatted but you were having DQAlpha testing in dec last year. I see started LIT treatment for DQ matches.
Are you aware of number Matches you need to qualify for LIT? I thought a lady said 4 to qualify and there's number combinations that prove challenging.
What frequency of intralipids outside cycling.
    Cheers for March..

    Hi
I'm wondering how you're both getting along with this? I'm seeing Dr Nick too and have DQ Alpha gene with DH and NK cells. I have to wait 4 weeks to see him as he said to wait until he has all the blood test results. We have DS (2yo) and he said we'd be able to try naturally with medication prior which I'm assuming is intralipids among other things. Do either of you know whether PGD testing with IVF can screen for the embyos with the shared gene? Dr Nick mentioned this with our 1st appointment before we even found out that we tested positive but now I can't seem to find any info on whether this is one of the things that can screen for.
