Oops, can you hide the money in another part of her room and ask her to re-search her room as the Tooth Fairy found another sneaky, special spot or something.

put money under your pillow or in a glass of water by your bed and while your making your bed "discover" it... quickly tell your daughter the tooth fairy must of gotten mixed up and put the money in the wrong place..

The thing is she didnt take the tooth. We have a little container we put the tooth in then the fairy takes the tooth and replaces it with a coin.

OMG...this parenting gig is way to hard sometimes

I told my son she must have been very busy last night. She is only one fairy and she is trying her best. When she comes tonight she may have a little extra?? It's hard seeing their little faces but another lesson in life

You would not believe the amount of times I have done this.
Last time I forgot I waited till she wasn't around quickly made the swap then said well the tooth fairy must have been so busy last night that she has only just gotten to our house now.
    I think it worked lol

I've forgotten not long ago, and told my son that because he didn't put his tooth out until after 5pm, the Tooth Fairy had already gotten all her emails of houses to visit that night so she must be coming the next night. Hook, line and sinker.

Write her a note from the tooth fairy saying "I'm so sorry, I was sick and couldn't visit you because I didn't want you to get sick too!" Then leave a bit extra!

If you don't think leaving it somewhere else would work.

Tell her it must have been a very busy night for the tooth fairy- perhaps she'll come tonight.
