Sue I've read good things about low dose protocols for older women and I know your Dr is very highly regarded, so I would give it a go especially if high dose protocols have failed you. My FS won't recommend a low dose protocol for me even though I asked her about it. She said one of the top Dr's at my clinic (Genea) uses it but she does not.

Faithandhopellove, sounds like you are hedging towards going ahead with this cycle? Thinking of you. Hoping you will be getting some good news re your DH's scans.

Leisylou, good luck trying the old fashioned way!

Luckyme, hoping it's all progressing as smoothly as possible.

Winsor, Chiefs, Fudge and anyone else stimming, how are you feeling? I'm exhausted and emotionally fragile! Needing afternoon naps which is not going to fit in with working the next two days. Argh!

@Skyler I am always emotional on lucrin! I meditate in my car at lunchtime which always seems to rejuvenate me, cos yes, I am exhausted! I'm waiting for AF and will switch to half dose cetrotide, so I'm wondering what those side effects will be as I haven't been on that before!

Remember to drink lots of water, it helps keep the headaches away.

I've been extra tired too, especially after I started cetrotide yesterday. though I'm always tired & ready for a nap so not sure if it's that or just me I've been working from home/remotely so try have a nap at lunchtime. feeling ok otherwise, can feel some pressure in my ovaries - just hoping both sides are working, as usually left side is dominant. I feel it more & more often, right side only now & then. last night both sides were quite warm as I was going to bed - the rest of me was cooler. I hope this just means they're working harder. they cooled down after a few mins in front of the fan (rearranging clothes), but I notice I do overheat more so try keep cool. I think it's the hormone changes (I sometimes get nightsweats as af arrives too & was told once that it can be hormone changes causing it). first u/s on sat so will see how the follicles are going then

Luckyme.... if I have it correct, it's the cycle number you're up to next. Please let me know if I'm wrong, and I'll correct it on the roll call.

    Default IVF over 40 #11

I've done three stimulated cycles but four transfers. The next one would be transfer number five.

Does that mean I should be up to cycle number three. I've also have two DS, one natural, one Ivf. Born 29/1/11 other 21/8/13

    And three miscarriages, urgh.

Thanks Chiefs and Winsor, glad I'm not alone. Think the synarel I'm on acts in the same way as lucrin. Getting hot flushes, dull headache, major abdominal bloating with twinges in both ovaries. After a marathon ridiculously busy working weekend, I was having heart palpitations driving there today wondering how I would cope. Thankfully I had a fairly light load today so left after lunch and home to the couch with air con on and guzzling water watching Australian Open!
First follicle scan tomorrow, wish me luck!

Luckyme, I think the way the cycles are counted on this thread is that each FET is counted as a cycle, even if the embryos came from the one stim. I think of myself as being on cycle 5, because it is my 5th time stimming, but because I had 3 blasts hence 3 transfers coming out of stim 1, my first stim cycle has been counted as 3 cycles. Hence on the roll call I'm counted as being on cycle 7. It doesn't matter either way but that's just the way the roll call has been worked out.

Faithandhopellove, what have you decided regarding this cycle? Hope you and DH are ok.
