If you feel this is what you want to do, do it. Otherwise you will think about it later and may regret it. And in regards to eating better, I asked my Dr that if I completely change my eating habits would it increase my chance, he said that unless I got really bad lifestyle (junk food, ciggies, etc.), it does not matter that much. Maybe not alcohol though.
@Skyler – thanks, I better ask. I got very very low response. I was told I need all my collections back to back as I am not a candidate for OHSS and need to keep hormones reasonably high. And still got my Dec14 ICS cancelled for low response. And got my Jan15 cancelled too. And now I need month or two off, apparently need to get my hormones back to normal. But will be going back to same meds!? I just don’t know what they want!
    @Luckyme1 -
They classify me as a poor responder. My last cycle we blasted my ovaries with 600 Gonal F and then added luveris into it. I got 7 eggs, 5 mature, 3 fertilised and two made it to day 3 freezing (we are doing banking cycles and will do PGD testing once we have enough).

At my previous clinic they would only do gonal f (400 then) so I changed clinic and tried menopur only and had my worst cycle ever (2 eggs, 1 fertilised and frozen at day 3). My next cycle was back on gonal F but at 600 and we added the luveris.

this cycle I will finally be doing a protocol called aacp (agonist/antagonist conversion protocol). It was created by a Dr Sher in the US. http://haveababy.com/fertility-infor...ach-to-ovarian

If you look at the link above he talks about the different protocols he uses and the conversion protocol is there. It is the only one he recommends for low responders. Maybe worth looking at this and other blog posts (if you search on The agonist/antagonist conversion protocol (A/ACP) on his page you will see a lot of blog posts that refer to it.

Oh and I forgot to mention that Saizen will only help with quality, not numbers.

Thank you very much @Chiefsgirl. i had a read and its very interesting. I am definitely concerned why no extra meds been offered to me knowing my very poor response to either Puregon or Gonal by themself. I have got appointment booked to see specialist to discuss this.

Wow things have moved fast in bh land over the last couple of days!
@maxcat I am also a poor responder and have had either 0, 1 or 2 eggs only (and have never had frosties). I just work on trying to improve the quality of what I have. have always been on high doses of gonal (600-900), cetrotide and luveris with synarel trigger. We got our BFP from a cycle with only one egg. Sadly he passed at 18 weeks but we still consider him our magic egg. It is possible!
@bertie I hope your DH comes around to the baby news. Maybe it is different him with your egg doing the job? When you were both using donors it may have felt different? I think it doesn't really matter what you tell your little one they will be Ok. I can only imagine that as long as they know how much mummy and daddy went through to get them out can only make them feel special. Perhaps stay a diary of your fertility struggles and pregnancy for them to have when they are older? Hope the scan went well today, can't wait to hear the news.
@Luckyme1 good luck with your little peanut. Prayers for better news on hb next scan.

AFM I have my new protocol, picked up my meds and back on the rollercoaster. Start stimming next week while on holiday at the beach.
Looks like I am being given all the heavies this time 600 gonal, cetrotide, luveris (normal protocol for me) but now have added letrozole and changing my trigger from synarel to lucrin. Has anyone used letrozole and how did you find it?

I have been diagnosed with post natal depression complicated by grief, apparently fluctuating between irrational anger and crying myself to sleep every night is not normal! Lol so I am trying to get through without medication (I don't want to affecting upcoming cycles) and have been appointed a phsycologist who will help me to deal with our loss but at the same time get in a good place for upcoming cycles. Feel very relieved now that my crazy moods have a name. It is funny how you think because you don't have a baby you can't have post natal depression, but it seems to hat your body is not aware of your baby lived or died it just reacts the best way it knows how. I am hoping with everything I have that the stress doesn't affect my cycle.

Hey Fudge that's so tough. I hope you are getting all the help you need from the psychologist and your loved ones.
I'm stimming with you this time around, I start gonal F on Saturday. Enjoy the beach. I find there's something very therapeutic about walking on the beach, it's been my 'go to' activity when things have gone wrong during ivf.
Faithandhopellove, you're stimming with us too right?
    Anyone else?
Kinda feels like I'm going into battle. We can do it girls.
MGC Bertie hope the scan went well today.

@Skyler and @leyshoja Thanks for your wishes I am not going to lie it is very tough and I have been struggling. But I think part of being on these forums is being honest about what we are going through and that includes mental health and the stress that ivf, and all that comes with it, puts on us. It is tough and I think it is Ok to say when you need help and right now I definitely do. If anything I hope that by speaking out about it, about how it can take you to a really dark place, others will feel more inclined to talk openly also. Even if it is just with others who are going through the same process here on bh.
@Skyler I start stimming on Wednesday but am not sure now when my transfer will be. The day clinic where our embryologist works is being renovated so they want to move all embryos, , sperm etc to another clinic 2 hrs away to prevent contamination from fumes etc. This means they have to do a freeze all but as I have never had good enough quality to freeze (fresh transfers only) I am worried about what this means for me. So it is a wait and see what I get. .. they said worst case scenario is that they collect and transfer to the other clinic for fertilisation, then bring them back for transfer at a few days. Other option is to do frozen and transfer a few weeks later. So more waiting waiting. ..just to add to the anxiety levels! Fingers crossed we get some nice embies. Xx

Has anyone heard how Bertie went with her scan today? Hoping that no news is good news?
