@leyshoja I hope the bleeding doesn't get too bad for you. My friend had one not so long ago and described really large chunks coming out (sorry TMI) and feeling pain like contractions. I guess just be prepared

Yes, the next one HAS to be THE one for you!

I was pretty sad for a few days but it's getting easier. wed was my birthday too (was hoping for a BFP for my present - was start of our holidays too). we spoke to FS on friday and she said she didn't think it was completely futile to keep trying as she said we make good embryos (for my age). so we're thinking now about whether to do another fresh cycle in jan (this year would be the last cycles using my own eggs due to age), use the frozen one or just keep trying naturally. the original thing found (apart from my age) was DP had morphology issues so the icsi was a slightly better chance. FS said we pretty much have a 1 in 20 chance of finding a good egg. probability has never been my forte, so just hoping we find the right one this year. we did discuss donor eggs too - not sure I'm there yet, but perhaps by end of the year, which is when we'd consider that option. so, still a few weeks to think about next step and relax a bit over the break.

good luck to @Leisylou and congrats to Bertie. it gives me hope that there may be a chance for us too when I hear of other successes. I met DP when I was 42 - a couple of times I thought I might be very early pregnant but af always arrived, though often at different times. it could have been just weird af starting to kick in (I was clockwork regular when younger). my FS said it's possible I was very early pregnant as there's been tests showing many women my age have early losses without knowing. I think I tend to have issues at/with implantation - I don't think I've ever got past that stage, but it's hard to know for sure. may have been wishful thinking that I even got that far pre-IVF anyway.
@winsor, my 2 cents worth, now is the only time you have to try another fresh cycles because if your frozen ones do not work and you lose much more time you won't be able to do it later. I know it's a tough call. Any frosties are your insurance policy so to speak

I'm definitely expecting chunks because my lining must be as thick as after 9 weeks on oestrogen. I've had a little cramping and back aches so far and hoping this is as bad as it gets.

yes, understood. I'd prefer to do at least one more fresh cycle, if not more in 2015 to try get more to freeze to try later. my DP is not sure about spending more $ on it all though. so we're still deciding.

@leyshoja - possible TMI - I had a m/c at 7-8 wks and it was like a more painful heavy period, manageable with standard pain relief. Hope yours as OK as it can be.
@winsor, hope you get to do a few more fresh cycles

@MGCBertie, hope to hear good news after your next BT/scan.

I used to be dead on 28 days before IVF. It really stuffs you around. OPK's are expensive but might be helpful to work out when to BD. I have heard some ladies talking about the Fertility Friend app being good too.

@winsor I agree with Leyshoja. After all has been said and done you don't want to look back and wish you'd done things differently.

thanks, yes I'm hoping to do more fresh cycles this year. even if only in the first 6mths. I've already told work I won't be able to travel as often (another problem for last 10years) and they're ok with it. talking some more with DP about it over the holidays. I have enough $ for at least 1-2 more cycles & can save as we go. I think he was just upset when the last one didn't work either. but he seemed better after speaking to our FS, especially when she said she didn't think it was completely futile just yet. she's put in my plan already, so I just have to go in when AF arrives in jan if we go ahead. I was hoping to collect more to be frozen - the first cycle only my left side worked. we had low numbers but 1 frozen. the second cycle my follicles responded better but still low mature eggs (the left was the largest leading up to EPU, so I think it just works better). I'm sort of hoping now for left-side only again next time, as it seems to have better quality. this could have been part of my problem all along also, if only half has been working properly. not sure. I did accupuncture this time and felt calmer, and the follicles did respond better on right side. (left was same as first cycle qty wise)

I was hoping with all the new cheaper and free clinics popping up that the regular clinics would bring their prices down. Nothing yet though. My clinic is geographically closest to where I live and going anywhere else will mean a longer commute so I don't want to change clinics but the price really doesn't match the service.
