I wondered why you hadn't posted in this thread, as this thread's right up your alley and that pic you posted once of he nails you did yourself was awesome!

The new revlon gels some of you are using... Do you need a setting machine or something?

Nope!! That's the best bit! No machine. No uv lights. No soaking to remove. Just like regular polish, color step 1 then clear top coat step 2 and ur done. Mail polish remover to take it off
The top coat is uv sensitive so it's in a dark bottle and you shouldn't let it sit open in direct sunlight.
So it's like a gel. But technically not. I have had 4 days of super shiny great wearing color so far with only one small chip. And I'm really hard on my nails. So for the price and convenience of a gel like finish I'm pretty stoked.
Pretty sure a salon gel set wouldn't last me much longer.

So does it have a separate top coat you have to use?

And I've done shellac, gels, acrylics. But I love the convenience of being able to change my polish colour easily (no endless soaking or filing) and doing it myself. Lasts me up to a week with no chips.

I won the whole set, best stuff I've used in ages!!

I do however find it takes a while to dry. Like probably 30 mins. I have stuffed a few nails up by smudging them while still soft.

I've recently discovered the best time to paint is when I get into work - I can do a few coats then type away at the keyboard without touching the nail!
