    Default Implanon. help!

I had the implanon inserted yesterday and my arm is killing me, I can hardly move it.
The incision site is throbbing and stinging and the bruise I have is horrible.
    Is this normal?
I have a very high pain threshold so I thought this would be easy

I don't think it would be the start of an infection either as I started antibiotics the day before as I'm prone to infections, it isn't hot to touch either.
    It's just very painful.

Yeah it can be super painful for the first few days. The bruising is usually pretty bad.

Your body isn't used to the 'invader' as such. It should settle within 2-3 days. If it doesn't, head back to the GP.

If it's hot, swollen, red, 'shiny' or you develop any other symptoms of an infection head back sooner.

    Thanks ladies 😊
That's put my mind at ease a bit.

Thanks Zombie_Eyes, that looks like mine, I know they said there would be bruising but Jesus Christ!

It's still in a compression bandage, it's the only thing stopping the throbbing 😳
