Happy for you Missybear and clinging to your success story.

AFM, spectacular failure with my FET. Full force af today at 6dp5dt. Very despondent and don't think it will ever happen for me now. Starting to think of my life sans children. Have just popped a bottle of merlot.

@missybear That's great news Luv that has hopefully made it a smidge less stressful for you I doubt you'll be waiting long at all and will probably go under the care of a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist. I went public too and was under the care of one myself and they were excellent

Will you have any kind of NIPT test performed??

Skler, never give up. I was always reading that miracles happened to so many people regards conceiving, and I would say, yeh, right, I should be so lucky and nine months after letting go of the desperation my miracle happened. Fingers crossed for you my lovely, it might just be your turn next xx

Every test going Hun, I'm 43, and I cannot bring a child into the world that will require 24/7 care for the rest if his or her life. A decision my partner and I agreed on before TTC. Who would care for them when we pass away? I wouldn't want to make other family members responsible for their care when I'm gone😞

@missybear Totally understand Luv, my DP and I felt exactly the same way for the same reasons and chose to have a CVS so we could be 100% sure DD was ok.

for low risk results for your "Double Trouble" xoxox

Congratulations @missybear that is lovely lovely news :-)
@Skyler I'm so sorry love. You've had way too many of those disappointments. I hope you can take a little time to figure out your next steps. I don't think I could do de either, it's an incredibly personal decision, but somehow it's just not right for us. Thinking of you x
@Kelly70, how is your brother going lovely?
@Jem70 what stage are you up to now?

    Hi to everyone else x

I've got a weekend of pregnant friends and new babies coming up. I've put off seeing them for too long...sigh...I feel like the way the happiness of people you love can trigger your own pain and envy is the worst part of all of this.

@missybear congratulations x2! @Nereid hi hope the weekend wasn't too stressful - I hear you. It's such a stab seeing all that happiness, then feeling guilty about how you are reacting. @Skyler I'm so sorry - do you still have frosties? I understand the frustration but I honestly believe you're still a few years off giving up, at least age wise. Disappointment wise - only you can decide but give yourself some time.

Hi everyone else - shout out to @BlondeinBrisvegas who I've dubbed the patron saint of the TTC brigade. You are such a ray of sunshine for everyone!

AFM sorted out my old love and closed the door on it finally so one less dose of pain to deal with. Due to work travel can't time the scratch and transfer until June, so I've decided to hit the dating trail in the meantime for a bit of harmless flirting - best way to get over a broken heart!

@Jem70 Bahahahaha!!! First time I've been called a "saint" for anything!! "Sinner" morelike!!! June will be here before you know it, but in the meantime, I've said it before, I'll say it again, there's no reason to live like a nun in the meantime!!!

@Nereid Hope you and your heart survived the weekend without getting too battered and bruised Yes Luv, you are so right and it's absolutely normal and totally ok to feel that way. I used to feel the same way too. Your turn will come Luv

Hello to all the other Lovelies as well.......xoxoxo

    Hello ladies,

@ missybear - extraordinary news about the twins and yet another source of inspiration to the girls doing it tough on this thread still ttc - as you said: Never Give Up!!! Considering you had zero response to fertility drugs, this just goes to show there is still hope and life after ivf.
@Skyler lovely, big hugs to you.

AFM: my brother is coping remarkably well both physically and mentally.. Physically the first round of chemo barely touched the sides, he had one ordinary day, that's it. Round 2 coming up this Friday and I have to say, so far the weeks are dragging in bw chemo sessions - it seems bloody loooong. I think because we are so desperate to get the 6 rounds done and a clear scan result under our noses. I believe this chemo is often well tolerated, he may start to feel ****e by round 4 or 5 I suspect. Of course now he is slightly stressing that the medicine isn't bamming the cancer because he feels too well, but I'm sure that's not the case.

I'm coping better with it all too, although certain moments catch me and my heart hurts. Just got an excited snap of him at the footy with my nephew on the ground (after watching the Bombers thump Hawthorn), so that helps.

Me, booking my flight right now to fly to Sydney on the 23rd for my apts at Fertility First. I've been counting my days trying to work out when ovulation is likely to be for my iui... I think the shock of my brothers diagnosis delayed ovulation as I felt no signs mid cycle and then my period didn't come. Currently about 10 days late but I felt signs and used some opks and I was ovulating a couple of days ago. Amazing how powerful stress is. Hoping my cycle normalizes now. Loving my new acupuncturist and having regular sessions.

    Thanks ladies for your support.

Nereid, I'm in the same boat as you. DE are just not for us. Right now, the nursing manager at the clinic is prompting me to talk to the counsellor about going that way. I know she only wants the best for me. She's a lovely lady, she said, 'you really deserve a baby darling' and I nearly cried. You know how when someone is really nice to you it can do that?
How was your weekend with the pregos and bubs? I caught up with my sister and her two little children last night, she was visiting from interstate. She is only two years younger than me and popped her two babies in the exact months she wanted their birthdays to be. Second conception literally took one BD at age 38. Still, 38 is different to 42.

Jem I'm sorry your romance has ended. Hoping you are ok about it. No, I don't have frosties. So it's square one for me again.

Kelly it's great your brother is doing so well with his treatment. It's good these days that it doesn't always make them as sick as a dog. Good luck with the iui. It may just do the trick. There's a lady on the over 40's thread who is in the second trimester thanks to an iui after multiple failed rounds of ivf.

Hi Blondie and thank you for helping us to keep our spirits up.
