@Kelly70 you're a match for your brother Luv. And I echo what @Skyler said about being a great source of support for your SIL. It's great you are close to one another and have each other to confide in and talk things over with as well as offer strength and comfort too when needed.

I hope the chemo doesn't knock your brother around too much Luv, you never know, some people seem to cope with it a lot better than others. I'm hoping it's like that for your brother. I know it seems like a long time, but I'm guessing that's most likely the quickest timeframe they can get what's no doubt a pretty hefty dose of the chemo into him for it to do its job without making your brother really ill Luv and wiping out his whole immune system, etc. plus I have no doubt his Specialists want to make sure they wipe out all of the b*st*rd cancer too!!

for the acupuncture and herbs and I hope your appointment at the new FC goes really well. Am also glad to see you persevering with TTC despite what's happening with your brother. Thinking of you all

    Default Starting IVF Mar/Apr 2014 - aged 43, single #3

    Thanks lovely girls!!
@ScubaGal - totally loved your letter to the Minister for Good Things, did he get back to you?? Made me laugh!! Thanks for being there in the background with your humour and sunshiney vibes, when is your due date again?
@BlondeinBrisvegas and @Vixjc - thanks for thinking of me lovelies.

AFM: harrowing day for the family yesterday waiting to see how my little bro managed through his first round of chemo. Such a massive relief because he handled it well, no reaction whatsoever to the drugs (one of them can cause serious allergic reactions) and he tolerated the full barrage like a champion. Apart from fainting clean away when he first arrived (as my dad said, you could hold a knitting needle up in front of that bloke and he'd faint!!) it was very uneventful which bodes well for his future treatments I suspect.

We have a double birthday lunch today at a French restaurant (my sis in law and my dad's partner) and he was asking the doctors yesterday if he could have wine today!! So awesome. I checked in with him this morning and he didn't sleep from the steroid they give them but otherwise he feels okay. Just tired! Some ****ty days ahead of him still I think but what a cracker start! So keen to just get this magic amazing medicine into him and kick lymphoma's butt!!

In other news, I get a txt last night from the muso I dated wanting to know why I never contacted him again and what he did wrong!! Men!!! 3 cancellations in a row and prioritizing me somewhere about 100 in his life, really? I told him he was an *** and to have fun wasting some other chick's time. Too harsh??

Sounds like he's bored, it's his weekend off the kids and he's got nothing better to do. So no, not too harsh at all! You don't want a man who'll cancel you repeatedly unless something dire is going on. It shows he loves himself more than anyone else and/or 'he's just not that into you', in which case you don't want him either. I did not get married til the age of 40, I watched friend after friend get married to a-sehol-s and would never have put up with most of the s-it that a lot of men expect you to take. Yes I'm paying the price of not being able to have kids but it's saved me years and years of being treated like dirt. You go girl. Don't tolerate anything but being treated like a Princess (at least that's how they should be treating you in the first stages of dating!!!)

And great news re your bro.

Hi to the rest of the ladies.

@Kelly70 Great news about your brother Luv regarding treatment thus far!! That's fantastic!! Hopefully it won't knock him around too badly at all I hope you enjoy the birthday celebrations today as well Yummy French food and wine on the agenda, Tres Bien and Bon Appetite!!!

As for the muso, I agree with @Skyler's sentiments too I think the fact he sent you a txt msg rather than call is yet another black mark against him in my books as is the "Why YOU never got in touch with him again" statement too..WTF?? How long's it been since you heard from him?? And it's taken this long to get in touch with you again??

If he was serious, he would've treated you with the dignity and respect you deserved the first time around or if he did have genuine reasons for cancelling he would've pulled out all stops to win you over and make it up to you and not let, what?? A month and a half go by until he bothered to TXT you again!!!

No Luv, not too harsh. The last thing you need now (or at anytime for that matter) is someone playing mind games with you or breaking your heart. You need someone who's reliable and who's actions speak louder then their words (or txt's!!) He's proven himself to be untrustworthy with his word, and unworthy through his actions in my opinion. Ok if you want a bit of a fling with no strings attached, but if not, f a r k him off I say!!

Hello to all the other Ladies too.......

P.S. @Biscotti71 Will be looking out for your update Luv if you do decide to POAS

Great news about your bruv @Kelly70 - what a trooper, good attitudes must run in your family obviously xx Mmmm french food & wine.... That delicious unpasteurised cheese.

That muso texted you? WTF? It's probably killing his big fat ego that he was dropped. And a text...? Pleeeeese, frick him off. He's blocking the doorway. Harsh? No.

AFM. Was planning on POAS but conveniently got busy with people coming over, buying a new TV etc
    It's arrrgghhhhh!!
To pee or not to pee? That is the question....
    Lol
    Hugs to all,
    Night 🌟💤

Kelly70 .. It's really good to hear that that your brother is fighting the ba#s#ard disease so bravely and positively. I m constantly praying for you and your family. Hoping this trying time will end really soon..and enjoy your lunch.
Plus...you were not harsh.. He deserves this.. Take care of yourself love xoxo

    Biscotti 71..good luck for testing

afm.. Waiting another month to do the Fet. Trying to make my cycle regular. Will ask lynn to do a natural Fet instead of the medicated one as it involves a lot of medication. .. Got sick of them.

A big hi to all you wonderful ladies..

Great to hear your brother mad it through the fist round so well @Kelly70 - fingers crossed it's a sign of things to come!

And the muso! Well one of my friends has a saying 'they always come back' - and in general they are just as clueless. The better you treat some men and the more you let them get away with stuff, the more they seem to take it forgranted - and then they wonder why you fade away after they treat you so poorly!!
@Biscotti71 got everything crossed for you - we are due for some good news!

hi to everyone else - no news on my front - I'm just still taking a break from the crazy journey and focussing on my lucky two frosties and hoping there's a little bit of magic in the freezer. I think I would like to hold onto that hope just a little bit longer!
