Default Stroller gate check with Cathay Pacific

We are travelling to New York with our 3 youngest kids (who will be 3.5, 2.5 and 18 months old) in May next year on Cathay Pacific. I'm no stranger to airline travel but this is the first time we will be travelling with 3 little ones and the first time flying with Cathay Pacific. I'm having a really hard time finding info on gate checking strollers and prams. We will be flying out at 1am from Brisbane. I plan on wearing my 18mo in a Tula but will really need the pram (a phil & teds navigator) right up to the gate. We will also need it for our 10 hour stop over in Hong Kong. I've gate checked an umbrella stroller with virgin and delta before but never with Cathay or at Brisbane International.

You can check your pram in and use one of their strollers to the gate so u know for sure yours get on the plane. But yes u can check it at the gate but personally I dont trust it will get on the plane at that stage

agree with pp. plus as well as being a large heavy pram you may be required to check it in. I'd personally buy a double umbrella stroller. if it gets damaged then at least it's not your big pram.
